Chapter 5

_4:58 PM, next day_

"Alright everyone, today's schedule is on the board. Write me a note if you need any corrections and leave it on the desk in the office. I will make changes when I come in tomorrow. Also, my father wanted to mention that y'all have a new waitress joining us tomorrow. Does anyone want to train her?" Only one hand went up. I smiled brightly at the owner. "Thanks, Bon."

He waved me off, giggling. "Of course."

The crew went back to work as I ended the small meeting, and I went over to help the chefs with the dinner rush. This was usually my father's shift, but since I took yesterday and this morning off, I'm working his shift tonight and I'll be at work all day tomorrow to cover for it. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's a price to be paid to have fun with your friends.

I smiled, remembering everything that happened last night as I diced up some tomatoes. It warmed my heart knowing we made Luffy happy. He got to see people he hasn't seen in a while. Shanks... Usopp... even Zoro was someone he hadn't seen for a bit. The excitement on his face was everything Ace and Sabo had hoped for, and I just know Luffy will make it up to them somehow.

I slid the finished tomatoes into a bowl and started working on some onions. I rinsed off the knife and cutting board and went into the walk-in. I leaned down and grabbed the bag of onions, wincing slightly. Gritting my teeth, I lift them into my arms and walked back.

Fuck, my back's killing me. If I'd known it'd been this bad, I'd have told that stupid mosshead to slow down. Not that he would have listened, but still.

I smiled heavenly as I thought about what we did in my car last night. It was incredible, and since everyone was fast asleep when we got back inside, we did it again in the shower! He had to shove a clean washcloth in my mouth to keep me quiet, but I don't think anyone really noticed. He was the one to wake me up the next morning as well, and if it wasn't for everyone being around, I would have asked for round three. His bed head, and morning face was delicious. It was hard not to get a taste.

Before we left after cleaning, we swapped numbers in the parking lot, and we've been texting throughout the rest of the afternoon until I got to work an hour ago.

It started off a bit weird, and I wasn't sure how to feel. He started off by telling me that just because we had sex, does not mean he wants to be in a romantic relationship with me. He only wants to have sex (yes, the freaky kind) with me. I didn't mind the 'just sex' part, and as of now, I had no romantic feelings for him. I hardly knew the guy...

But I'm the type of person to fall in love quickly, and when I mentioned that to him, he never responded. It was quite nerve racking because I was dreading the thought of him deciding not to continue just because of my weak heart.

"Hey, boss."

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked at Koala. She was Sabo's 'best friend,' and one of our night shift's hostesses. I gave her a cheerful smile and said, "Yes, what is it?"

"There's some green haired guy named Zero, or something like that looking for you up front."

I dropped the knife, and my jaw dropped. I quickly wiped my hands on my apron as I stepped around my station and met her at the door. She led me towards the front entrance, and my heart skipped a beat when I saw him. I gave him a confused expression as I stopped in front of him. Koala got back behind her post and watched.

"Why are you here?"

"Can we talk?"

"No, I'm working right now..."
