Never in my life have I been easy to feed. I eat probably under fifty different kinds of food. Nothing can touch, no sauces... The list of rules goes on. No point in my life was as bad as when I was 8-12 years old.

School lunches were hell for my mom. Dinner was worse. Breakfast? Completely unheard of. Usually my lunch would be an assortment of baggies and/or containers of things like raw veggies, plain crackers, or cookies. People were always commenting on how little variety there was and I couldn't help what I liked, so I stopped bringing a lunch all together some time during fourth grade. Which, in hindsight, created more unwanted attention toward my eating habits.

I remember one time I was so hungry at school, and we had a snack time sometime before lunch. We also had a "Snack Bin" program where each class got a bin filed with healthy snacks. Fruit, crackers and cheese, milk, sometimes chocolate milk. Well, on this particular day there was almost nothing but apples. So I started eating the apples, and somebody made a joke about me being "addicted" to them, so I just kept on eating. Suddenly people were bringing me apples to eat just to see how many I could, and they did that every time there were apples in the bin. Good year.
