Chapter 59- Don't Do It

There was something I needed to do that I should have done earlier, but I was too worried about where Katherine had gone that I had to look for her first but knowing that she was alright, I needed to take care of the matter at hand.

As soon as I removed my jacket and hung it on my office chair, I took out my phone from my pocket and walked to the window that overlooked the city.

I scrolled through my phone as I dialed my investigator's number. After what happened the last time, I didn't just want anyone to watch over Katherine for me, I needed the best.

“Buongiorno Matteo, ho un lavoro per te," I said.

"Cosa posso fare per te capo, sai che sono sempre al tuo servizio," He said

"Ottimo, penso che ci sia qualcuno dietro alla mia donna, voglio che tu la sorveglia sempre, assicurati che non le accada niente," I said as I looked down at the busy city.

"Sì,"

"Perfetto, ti invierò i suoi dettagli," I said.

"Va bene capo," He said before I ended the call.

“ Hello Matteo, I've got a job for you,"

" What can I do for you boss? You know I'm always at your service,"

" Good, I think there's someone after my woman, I want you to watch her at all times, make sure nothing happens to her,"

" Yes,"

" Good, I'll send you her details,"

" Okay boss," 

As soon as I ended the call with him I walked back to my chair and sat down as I quickly forwarded everything he needed to know about Katherine to him. With that being done, I got to work.

Although the beautiful face of a certain woman just wouldn't stop coming to mind, I didn't know if she would be coming to the office today but I would have really loved to see her.

Whatever decision she makes, I'm okay with it, she could be stressed out and want to rest.

After all, I tired her all night.

I was busy with my work when my phone vibrated with a message, I picked up my phone and opened the message and I couldn't stop my smile when I saw who the message was from, she had that much effect on me.

Just looking at her message I was already smiling like a love sick puppy. What would looking at her face do to me?

‘ I'll be late to work, I have to meet my sister, ‘ Her message read. I quickly typed a reply.

‘ That's fine, you can take the day off, bond with your sister, it's okay,’ I replied.

‘ Thanks, I really needed that,’ Her response was quick.

‘ Well, till I see you again, ‘ As crazy as it was, I was tempted to send a heart but I stopped myself.

Baby steps my foot, you fucked the woman all night did you think of that? Well, you wouldn't blame me, if she gave me a chance to speak. Maybe we would have considered baby steps, not like any of us regretted it.

Her loud moans were enough proof.

I sent the message of course without the heart emoji.

I didn't get a reply after that and I knew she must have gotten busy with her sister.

I got back to work hoping that I'll see her beautiful face later today.

“ I missed you sis, why didn't you tell me you were coming to Italy?" I asked her as I pulled from our hug.

" It wouldn't come as a surprise if I had told you,” She said as she took my hand and led me to the couch in her hotel room.

“ So…What brings you to Italy?” I asked as we both sat down.

" Seriously, you're asking me that, I'm kinda offended, I missed you, you dummy, I should be in Hawaii or the Bahamas but I'm here to see you, maybe I should just go to Hawaii instead,” She said as she folded her arms and looked at me grumpily.

“ I'm sorry, I didn't mean it that way, I'm just surprised you're here, you know you're the director or something," I said with a shrug.

“ Even the boss can take a break, the school is in good hands, okay scratch that, what are we going to be doing? Where's your fiance? How's he doing?” She asked as she looked at me.

I didn't know how to answer that, yes I haven't told my sister and I know what you're thinking, my sister should be the closest to me and all but with everything that has been going on in my life I haven't really gotten the opportunity to tell her.

And also I didn't want her to go to prison. Joke aside, she can be angry when she wants to and she does things without thinking.

“ Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked her as she watched me carefully like she was finding something.

“ I asked you about Eddy and I noticed the change in your mood, are you okay? Did you guys get into a fight?" She asked instantly, taking on the protective sister look.

“ We broke up,”

" What?! Why, What happened?" She asked as she took my hands.

“ He cheated but he keeps saying he's innocent and right now I just found out the man I've hated all this time was just actually a coward afraid to tell me about his feelings and I've been wrong about how I see him and it's…it's driving me crazy,” I said with a sigh.

" Is it the Luca guy?" She asked and I nodded.

“ Where's Eddy now?" I quickly looked up at her.

“ Don't do what you're thinking," I said with a shake of my head.

“ And what am I thinking?"

“ I know you, besides how would I know where he is?"

“ That's true, but someone else would,"

“ Stop it Debbie,"

“ I'm not doing anything wrong, I think I should really go see Jordan, he'd like to accompany me to see someone,"

" Don't do it,” I said with a shake of my head.

" Okay,” She said but that simple word held many lies.
