Nick

Samuel, the love of my life...I loved everything about him...but it was clear that there were still some things about this world...my world, that he didn't understand.

It was against my better judgement to contradict him, or tell him how things were.

He was right about me making Neil be his friend...but it had been overall a good plan. They were best friends, and Sam treated him more as a child than anyone had done in a long time.

No matter how much Sam wanted to coddle Neil, the time for that was running out.

"Can we postpone it?" Sam continued.

"Not even," I couldn't contain my chuckle. He was really determined, and it made me happy. "Ramsey already found him through his scent, it's only a matter of time....if we don't give him his Test soon, Ramsey will."

"He can't do that!" Sam sat up straighter, suddenly filled with extreme confidence.

"He can," I sighed, "and he will."

Sam's eyes narrowed at me.

"Don't look at me like that." I spoke harsher than I meant to, causing his eyes to avert.

"Alpha," Paul knocked on the door while opening it.

I stood up and walked over to him. "What'd you find?" I whispered.

"Well," he sighed, "I called one of my old friends at the FDA, and he said that any drug meant to suppress a supernatural creatures instinct has been vetoed by them due to the affects that were noticed in the drug trials. He said memory loss was one of the main issues, just like I hypothesized earlier."

"What were the other main issues?" I asked suddenly.

Sam had been given these drugs by his own mother, who was aware of the side effects it could have, and yet she gave them to him anyway...I should've ripped her head from her neck the moment I saved him.

"He said that, apart from memory loss, the other...main issues...with these drugs included blood clots which can lead to aneurysms, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, and cardiac problems which can lead to death." Paul spoke as quietly as he could, though I could feel Sam's eyes blazing hot holes into us.

I rubbed my eyebrow with my fingers.

We should've torn that bitch from limb to limb. Aztec growled. How dare she harm our mate?!

"She just didn't care enough." I answered him. "All she was worried about was his wolf and concealing it." I bit my lip as I looked back to Paul. "What can you do?" I noticed him carrying a bag.

"Not too much I'm afraid," Paul whispered, "he was on that medicine a long time, and I'm weary to give him normal blood. His wolf is already weak....and that transformation routine was a shock to his system."

"Why don't you give him my blood?" I suggested.

"I don't know Alpha," he furrowed his brow. "You're a supreme...it might not graft well with his Omega type."

I stared at him in confusion.

"All we can do is help him recover and rest..." he began, "the Luna will be back to himself soon." He smiled a bit. "These," he held up his bag, "are steroids." He moved past me and walked over to Sam.

"I'll be back," I called as the doctor sat beside Sam.

"Alright," Sam called back.

I opened the door and saw Neil sitting on the ground right outside.
