I never understood what it felt like to be in your shoes until I did. I wish I didn't.
"Psst!"
I stopped walking at napapikit ako, gathering energy. I hugged my books tighter and drew a breath before turning around. "Yes?"
"You're from the College of Nursing, right?" Sabi niya sabay turo sa isang building na kalalabas ko lang.
"Yes. Do you need something?" I asked. He's blurry.
He stayed silent and just stared at me before looking down at my shoulder. Ano tinitingin-tingin mo?
I stared back at him. "Do you need something?" I repeated, saying it louder. Maybe he didn't hear me earlier.
He blinked as if he got pulled back to reality and smiled sheepishly, scratching his chin with his knuckle. "Wala naman, I thought I saw something." Tumawa siya, then he waved at me and walked away. I continued staring at his back until he disappeared from my vision.
What a weird person.
