"Did you want me to wait for you guys?" I said to Yongguk and the guys who Mr. Shin all gave detention for not handing in their homework.
"Detention has officially started. I want silence for the next hour. It's been a while hasn't it, everyone?" Mr. Shin said who took out a newspaper and propped his feet on his desk.
"You don't have to wait, you can go home if you want," Yongguk said to me, not even trying to lower his voice.
"NO TALKING!" Our teacher yelled. I bet he missed scolding these guys. They've surprisingly been well behaved recently.
"Alright I guess I'll head home now. Bye," I whispered and I waved to the rest of the group.
I was leaving for home when I saw a familiar silver car roll up next to me outside the gates.
"Kris? What are you doing here?"
"Hi Jieun. Irene wanted me to pick you up so she could see you sooner," He got out of the driver's seat and opened the passenger door for me.
Oh duh, I was texting Irene last night about hanging out at her house. "Oh really? Well thanks for picking me up."
Mr. Shin wanted us to use this time to do the homework we never did, but I just pushed the worksheets aside and looked out the window. I saw Jieun who was heading home by herself but then a car stopped in front of her. The driver got out and I saw that it was the one guy who came to the school yesterday. I stood up and was about to leave the room when Mr. Shin stopped me, "Yongguk, if you leave detention early, I'm going to give you detention for the rest of the week."
I groaned and slumped back down in desk, "You just love our company don't you?"
Right when Kris parked in his driveway, Irene came out of the house and was really happy to see me. "Yay Jieun!" Irene even opened the car door for me and she couldn't wait for me to follow her. "I'm so excited for you to be here. We have a bunch of snacks and drinks...I'll go get them!"
"It seems like my sister really likes you," Kris chuckled as Irene ran off to the kitchen.
"She's so cute, I wish I had a little sister like her."
"I guess you're pretty popular with my family; Irene likes you, my dad likes you, and I like you too."
"Aww," I said, trying not to sound conceited, "Your family is so nice."
"Listen, I know that you're here because of Irene, but I was wondering maybe sometime we can do something together, without my sis--"
"I'm back with the snacks! Let's go up to my room, Jieun~" Irene walked in with her arms full of snacks and pulled me up the staircase.
"Just make yourself at home," Irene opened the door to her bedroom (which was huge by the way) and jumped onto her bed.
All of a sudden, Irene pulled out her collection of kpop CDs. She wanted to know who was my favorite group.
"Hmm I really like F(x) and Apink." I said without a doubt. If anyone were to ask me my favorite kpop groups, those were my go-to answers.
Irene look disappointed with my answers for some reason,"But who's your favorite boy group?"
"Boy group? I think BTS is really cool."
"Ooh BTS! I have all of their albums. Who's your ideal type in the group? My favorite is J-Hope." Irene grabbed a J-Hope photocard from one of the albums and held it to her chest.
