Dot tried not to smile at how nervous Bucky seemed.

"Hey, Dot. Are you ready?"

"Let's go, Barnes."

"Are you ever gonna call me Bucky?"

"If you prove you're worth the effort."

As the two walked around the Coney Island fair, Steve followed, trying not to be spotted. He knew Bucky was a good guy, but also Dot was his only female friend and the only one who would do art with him.

Dot took a bit of her cotton candy as she looked around and smiled, seeing a teddy bear. "That's cute."

Bucky glanced at Dot, then went to the booth.

"What are you doing?" Dot asked in slight confusion.

"I'm winning you that bear."

"I don't need it."

"I can't hear you." Bucky replied before starting the game.

Dot watched as Bucky wasn't giving up and sighed softly. He was definitely determined.

Bucky finally got the bear and smiled big at Dot, handing her the bear. "For you."

"Thank you, Barnes." Dot said, taking the bear. She smiled slightly and placed her arm through Bucky's as they walked.

Eventually, the couple spotted Steve.

"Really Steve?" Bucky asked, exasperated.

"I um..."

Dot chuckled, then looked around. "Let's ride the Cyclone."

Steve tried to get out of it but couldn't resist the combined pulling of Dot and Bucky.

Bucky watched as Dot got in the car with Howard and drove off. Steve chuckled before the two figured out their own ride home. As the two sat in the back of an ice truck.

"Was it worth it?" Steve asked Bucky.

Bucky smiled, thinking of the way Dot's eyes lit up when he handed her the bear. "Yeah."
