Brooklyn was glad to get something really meaty this time. He liked the other food options too. Of course, this was a test to see what he could tolerate at this time. Only he would come to regret it later.

Just before sunrise, Brooklyn found himself running to the toilet while watching tv and throwing up a good portion of his dinner. He saw that there was the steak in the toilet.

Frank came in with some peppermint tea for him. Brooklyn smelled it. It did smell kind of good. "What is that?" Brook asked.

"Peppermint tea. It should also help settle your stomach." Frank replied.

Brooklyn gladly took the tea and sipped it. "Hmm. This is really good." He grinned.

"Good you like it." Frank said.

"Can I have some more?" Brooklyn asked when he finished it.

"Sure." Frank replied and got him some more. "You can feel free to ask whatever you feel you need."

"What about letting me go home?" Brooklyn asked.

"Except that. I'm sorry." Frank said sadly.

"Come on, Frank. You know I'm not happy here. I feel claustrophobic just being here. I feel like I can't breathe at times. It's even worse with what's going on with my stomach on a nightly basis now. Please." Brooklyn explained, pleading virtually. "I need my clan."

"I wish I could." Frank said, leaving to get him more tea.

Brooklyn looked down sadly, flattening his ears. He looked down at his belly, rubbing it. "What is going on with you?" He inquired. It gurgled but was silent after.

Frank soon returned and let him sip the tea. He finished it before the sun rose again. He had a melancholy look on his face as he turned.

Among Irene's team, there was a man who was getting jealous that Irene was not paying much attention to him and his projects. He thought about stealing the gargoyle and finishing up her project as his own.

The man's name was Vick. He was a redhead. He had green eyes and stood about 6' himself. He resembled Matt Bluestone a little bit. He also wore glasses. His specialty on the team was advanced genetics.

Irene was constantly watching over the gargoyle. She watched him more on camera than interactions personally. Frank also did more interactions because of being Brooklyn's food and drink deliverer.

Vick planned to do something different with the gargoyle once he had him in his control.

............

It had been well over two weeks since Brooklyn's stomach troubles started, and the nausea constantly bugged him. Irene had started having Brooklyn eat just the gentle foods and ginger ale in the early evening and some more chicken and fruits later in the night.

But finally, Irene came in to see Brooklyn. She figured it was long enough of this, figuring the gargoyle wanted answers too.

"Good evening, Brooklyn." She greeted him.

"What do you want?" Brooklyn asked grumpily.

"Brooklyn, do you want some answers as to what is going on with your belly?" Irene asked.

"Yes, I do." He replied.

"Well, would you be willing to let us in to examine you without a fight?" Irene asked. "I have the doctor here to see you."

The doc came into view. Brook sighed. "Alright. Yes. I want to have answers. I just hope you aren't lying to me about not putting anything bad on my food." Brooklyn exclaimed.
