A fictional chapter w characters from my imagination (all real life similarities are coincidental blah blah blah whatever they say in books) -inspired by the saying "you'll find love when you're not looking" by an author who needs love asap

"Grandma, tell me a story." The toddler looked up at me with expectant eyes. "Alright, my love. Come sit on my lap."
(Following is told through story- "grandma"=violet g.)
Violet Greenwall was eight, living in a small cottage town with her mother and two sisters. She was homeschooled and ever since she was a kid, she had always dreamt of her very own love story. For many years she read romance books, watched romantic movies, and admired others' love from afar, but no matter how hard she searched, she could never find her Prince Charming.
One day, Violet was feeding some ducks in a pond near her house, as her mother sat reading a book on a bench. "Momma?" She asked. Her mother looked up. "Why can everyone find love but me?" Her mother placed her book to her left and motioned for Violet to sit near her. "Come, let me braid your hair." Violet wore a confused look but complied.
As her mother gently wove strands of Violet's hair together, she spoke softly. "People always say you find love when you are busy elsewhere." "What's that supposed to mean?" Violet asked. "It means, that love will come to you when you aren't looking for it." Violet pondered her mother's words for a second, and when she was happy with the response, she thanked her mother, who tied her braid, and wiped dirt off her dress before grabbing hold of her mother's hand as they walked home.
And so, Violet stopped chasing hopelessly and found joy in gardening with her younger sister, Emma. A few years passed, and Violet was fifteen. Violet had taken a summer job at the same park, and as she finished her shift, she called her sister to come pick her up. At the bench where her mother had sat those years ago, Violet noticed a beautiful boy. He was maybe sixteen, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Everything about him made Violet want to smile. He held a cup of coffee in his hand, and Violet recognized her favorite business' logo on the front of it.
She locked eyes with the boy and smiled. She blushed when he returned her gesture.
When she finished her call, she put her phone away and began walking home. "Wait," a voice called from behind her. The boy had stood up and began walking towards her. "What's your name?" "Violet, you?" "Adrian." He replied. "You like coffee?" She asked. "Yeah, do you?" "It's my favorite." The boy looked at her for a second, admiring her. "Could i, um, get your number maybe?" Violet stood still for a second, processing the boy's words. "Oh, uh, yeah, of course, here." She typed her number into his phone. "I'll text you?" He asked. She nodded, "See you around, Adrian." He flashed a smile before she walked home, heart beating, smile radiant.
(Interruption-back to present)
"Grandma, did you marry him?" Carlie asked. I looked behind me to my loving husband, who smiled. "I don't know, Carlie, we'll save that for another day."
"GRANDMA NO! YOU CANT DO THIS TO ME." She pouted, crossing her arms.
I laughed and poked her stomach. "C'mon, baby, dinner's ready."
"Oh, yummy! What are we having?"
