Next morning, Hope was in a mood. Having gotten ready half-heartedly she took the keys off of the wooden console by the door and made her way downstairs. As soon as she stepped out, she was whisked away again, “What the hell?” she growled, almost yelling at the two Salvatore brothers when she found herself standing in their home. “Please don’t get angry. We just wanted to talk.” Said Stefan.

“Might as well sit down, carrot top. This might take a while.” Damon smirked, he was the one who grabbed her “Why did you bring me here?” she questioned, Damon interrupted “Hush sh sh sh, we’re waiting on company.”  Raising his finger as Stefan went on to explain. Just then the door bell rang “there we go,” he raised a mischievous eyebrow, smile widening. “I’ll welcome our guest.” Stefan sighed shaking his head when she shot him a questioning look, but went after him.

After another minute, Elena entered beside a pretty woman with spiky brown hair and blue eyes.  “Hope?” “Hi, Lena.” “What’s going on?” “I keep asking.” She gestured exhaustedly, as Stefan gestured for his girlfriend to sit beside her.

“It’s about the originals.” That got everyone’s attention. As the woman, Rose, introduced herself told them. The originals were the first vampire in existence, the oldest creatures that walk this earth.

“Okay, you have to understand I only know what I’ve picked up over the years. And I don’t know what’s true and what’s not true.” She waved her hand dismissively “It’s the problem with all this vampire crap.” Turning to them, she said “But Klaus, I know is real.”

“Who is he?” asked Elena, “He’s on of the Originals. He’s a legend.” Spoke Damon “From the first generation of vampires,” added Stefan “Like Elijah?” “No, Elijah was the Easter Bunny compared to Klaus.” Hope snorted lightly when Rose Interjected, Damon glanced at her. Elijah was no bunny, from Hope’s memory of her uncle, he was anything but a harmless bunny. Rose though, was trying to drive down the gravity of their situation, with arms on her waist, she continued not having heard Hope “He’s a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal.”

“Klaus is know to be the oldest.” Stefan told them, from what little he knew of the man, he was to be feared, Stefan could only be glad he had never come face to face with the vampire. How wrong he was about that.

“Okay so.. you’re saying.. that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?” Elena was trying to process this information, her life didn’t feel real in this moment, it hadn’t ever since she learnt the truth about Stefan, but this? This was craziness.

“Yes.”

“No.”

  “What they’re saying is, I mean, if what she’s saying is true –“ “Which it is.” “And you’re not saying it just so we don’t kill you?” “Which I’m not.” Rose side eyed Damon in indignation,

“Then we’re looking at a solid maybe.” He reasoned, arms open he half shrugged at them. Making Elena’s eyes widen.

“Look, Elijah’s dead. Right? No one even knows that you exist.” Stefan interjected “Not that you know of.” Added Rose “That’s not helping.” Interrupted Damon only to get a look from Rose, Stefan continued ignoring them both “I’ve never even met anyone who’s laid eyes on him. I mean we’re talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don’t know what’s real. He could be some stupid bedtime story.” “People don’t try to kidnap people over stupid bedtime stories.” Interjected Hope this time, smartly. Rose nodded “He’s real. And he doesn’t give up. If he wants something he gets it. If you’re not afraid of him then you’re an idiot.” Hope agreed with her on that, “Alright we’re shaking. You made your point.” Damon said, glancing at Hope again, “How are we suppose to believe you about this?” He raised his eyebrow questioningly “If you don’t there’s nothing I can do about it.” Rose shrugged, taking a seat on the arm of the sofa chair.
