The last thing Sasuke expected was for him to argue back, it wasn't like him and considering he'd have the upper hand a majority of the times, this was testing to say the least. "Hn." He hummed and released his arms from being crossed, placing one on the desk and putting a majority of his weight on it. This was what he meant about Naruto making it hard for him to hold back, it was already tedious and even more so complicated after the things they did that night, so to stand here and have him play with him like this only made for another 'game', but that was a mere mistake and should've never happened. At least that's what he thought at first, maybe it was what Naruto was trying for, to talk about it or just even bring up the idea. "Are you worried that I'll do something?" His voice was way lower than just a minute ago, and more assertive. It made Naruto's heart skip, and oddly enough made his cheeks flush. "I-I didn't say that!" Oh no, maybe he did make a mistake talking back.

"Then tell me..." Sasuke pushed himself away from the desk bringing himself closer to the blonde sitting there in his chair, looking up at him. He could see the flush across his whiskered cheeks, how magnificent he looked. Without hesitation or second thoughts, he brought his hand up and placed his thumb and index finger on the Uzumaki's chin, lifting his head up just a little further to get a better view. "Why do I make you nervous?"

Naruto's heart was racing, his hands sweating and his stomach fluttering, damn this was bad. They hadn't had any incident like this since that night, and to be fair Naruto thought it would be forgotten forever. But just as he was thinking that Sasuke moved his body closer, not breaking that physical touch. "Oh...I see...Did you really think that I would just...forget?" Sasuke's voice made his body heat up, not just his face but everything all over. Why was it like this? Yeah okay they did something they probably shouldn't have, but it was a while ago, and both of them never talked about it, so why now and why is he feeling like this? "S-Sasuke if-....if you didn't forget th-then why did you-"

There it is, the infamous question that Sasuke knew was coming. He had to think fast, avoid this conversation! What was he doing anyway? This is exactly what he was not supposed to do. He pulled his hand away and leaned back up against the desk again. "Did you really think that it was something worth talking about?" Their eyes stayed locked even though Sasuke wanted to look away. He had to be stern on it, make it clear to him. "I promised you I wouldn't forget it and I—" Before he could even finish his words, for once he was cut off. "You also promised you wouldn't leave my side ever again!" Naruto's eyebrows furrowed with frustration and anger. Oh how quick this little chitchat turned. It happened so fast that even Sasuke was surprised. His eyes lighting up with disbelief and confusion as to why he was so angry.

Both of them had conflicting feelings towards one another, feeling sorrow for two separate reasons. Both of which neither knew how they felt about. Naruto didn't know why Sasuke ignored him after it and kept him in the dark, and Sasuke didn't know why Naruto was so angry about him not coming around for that month. Both having very logical reasons behind them.

"You promised you wouldn't leave my side after you died, and then swore to me that you'd never forget what happened. Just to disappear after and leave me confused, and then leave the village AGAIN! Without even saying a word to me about any of it. You didn't even tell me why you ignored me even after I found you again." Those emotions he was trying to hide were so high strung that it was boiling in the bottoms of his lids, the tears that welted from anger heated his iris's. 'Relax kid, maybe you should hear his side.' Kuruma tried to reason with the hot headed one, but Naruto was quick to snap back again, not even giving Sasuke a chance to explain. "No! It's bullshit, I've been wondering this whole time how someone could do that to someone and just act like it never happened! Not to mention what you said!" He was loud but not to the point of yelling, only enough to get his frustrations out and make sure he was heard.

It wasn't until one solid tear slid down his heated cheeks, immediately cooling it down the wet stripe that it made, that he realized he was crying. It actually seemed to spook him as it's been a long time since the last that he cried. That last time being when he found Sasuke dead outside the village. He winced from the feeling and brought a hand up to his check gently wiping the salty water away and looking at it. "Tch...again?" He whispered softly to himself in amazement that the Uchiha always seemed to be the one to cause this.

Sasuke was at a loss of words for a moment, he hadn't expected a good situation to go bad and then even worse as the seconds passed. He wanted to say something but words were hard to find. His next motive was unclear too, that of course was until Naruto stood up from the chair and took the collar of his shirt to wipe the rest of the tears away that he finally acted out. He leaned forward and grabbed the blondes wrist firmly, catching the Hokage by surprise. "Dobe." Just as he stated that simple teasing name he pulled Naruto up and towards him and straight into his chest before letting go and wrapping his arms around him. He knew, eventually, now there was no keeping back the words he had been holding in, but for now he just wanted to comfort him.

At first Naruto was stiff and wide eyed, he didn't know how to react, his eyes were swelling and he could feel the sting burning them. But he gave in, melting into the hold that surrounded him, feeling the warmth engulf him. His head rested gently against the ravens chest and before he knew it there was one, two, and now three solid tears dropping, soaking into the cloth of Sasuke's shirt. "Tch." He couldn't hardly speak so he didn't bother to try. There was that silence between them and the only sound heard was the shallow breathing from the blonde, eventually it started to get softer and finally Sasuke spoke in a soft genuine tone. "I'm sorry." Short and simple but full of truth. He meant it, he didn't mean to hurt the blonde if anything he was trying to protect him. Even now that still wasn't something Naruto was aware of. But he didn't mind in the moment, he was just grateful for this hug, he didn't know he needed.
