a light haired male checked the date on his watch, as it read

December 25, 2015

sugawara rubbed his hands together anxiously, blowing out puffs of smoke that was created by the frigid temperature. though it was a cold and harsh day, the multicolored string lights attached to the front, top, and sides of the stores were able to light up his mood.

it was Christmas and he loved it.

especially because he was finally able to see his beloved (f/n) after a year since she moved to (country's name) for college. it was probably the biggest step of their relationship, but they managed to work it out for a year, and he was excited to finally see her.

sweet English Christmas carols could be hear from outside the different stores as he quietly sat on the bench in front of a huge Christmas tree that was going to light up in minutes.

he took that extra amount of time to slowly and surely appreciate and look back on the memories with you.

he missed and remembered your beautiful smile, your small, yet sensational humming, the times he was able to wake up to see your alluring face, the sweet kisses, and the heartwarming hugs. sugawara missed every single inch of you and was thrilled to hear the news you were coming back to Japan for a week or so.

his thoughts were cut off from an announcer that announced that the tree was going to light up soon. he rubbed his hands together once more but not because of the cold, but from the excitement pooling in his body. he smiled brightly to himself and waited to see your presence once more.

after what seemed like an eternity to him, the announcer one more spoke into the mic to announce that the tree was going to light up in under a minute, and that was when he saw you rushing over to him.

sugawara couldn't believe it

you were actually there, a few meters away, but close enough for him to see you

the corners of his mouth couldn't help but raise eagerly and got ready to engulf you into the tightest bear you would ever get.

"(F/N)!" he yells happily.

his body heats up while his heart races and beats loudly against his chest. he felt like the happiest man in the world and he could here the countdown of the announcer and chanting of the crowd became faint.

you ran into his arms as he hugged you tightly.

he was happy

so happy

but

yours didn't seem as affectionate as his?

"(f/n)?" he asks quietly and suspiciously.

right now, the world seemed as if it was only the two of you that existed and the small chanting of the crowd was quieted down, the snow that fluttered down seemed to become very stop and all was still.

I'm sorry that it was rushed but, I'll be honest, I'm not into writing fan fiction as much as I was before

I'm so sorry, but I'll just straight up tell you I'm a type of person to get into things really quickly and get tired of it and move on
