Sahil
Opening my eyes, I look at the bed. She isn't here. I glance up looking at my watch–it's 2 a.m. Where is she? how did I not notice her leaving? I've never slept this deep before, I usually wake up every with the slightest move. I quickly got off and head to the door, stopping as I hear a sob coming from the bathroom. Turning my head to the bathroom door, realizing she's in there, crying?
"Meri jaan app andar ho?" I ask, knocking on the door, my voice edged with concern. She didn't respond.
"Main andar aa sakta hu?" I ask.
"Ji?" She replies In a blubbing voice, making my heart race.
"Please?" I ask, worried. Clearing her throat she opened the door, our eyes meeting. Her eyes are a little bit red—she's been crying, but why? Did she miss something or someone? did I do something to make her upset? fuck, my heart is racing too much.
"Ji kuch hua?" she asks putting on a smile. Her smile doesn't seem fake, but I want the reason she cried.
"Vo app btao" I say.
"Hanji?" she replies, giving me a confused look.
"App theek ho?" I ask, grabbing her to check her body temperature. It's normal, she doesn't have a fever. She definitely cried hard. Should I directly ask her? I'm only thinking that if I do,she might not tell the truth.
"Hanji" she responds with a nod.
"To fir app roh kyun rahi thi?" I ask, placing my hand on her cheek.
"Vo-" she paused, looking down, making my heart beat faster. Don't pause like this; my heart might stop.
"Zyada kuch nahi" She finishes, making my grip on her tighter. I hate when I don't get to know something I want to know. I've never been this worried before. It feels like my heart could stop any second if she doesn't tell me, and my mind isn't thinking straight. Maybe Amaya can help, she'll definitely help.
"Agar app chaho to main Amaya ko bula ke aau?" I ask, seeing her smile widen.
"App tension maat ligiye mujhe kuch nahi hoga" she replied.
"Kuch hone bhi nahi dunga" I stated.
"Hanji?" she asks, looking at me.
"App please mujhe bata sakte ho app kyu ro rahe the?" I ask, almost desperate.
"Uhm- vo actually mera na–" she paused looking down. Her not finishing a sentence in one go is killing me.
"Vo na mere periods agaye hai" she finished. She scared the shit out of me, but she can't help it; her period must hurt a lot. I take a breath.
"Why are you standing then" I say picking her up, and placing her on the bed.
"Sahil ji periods aye hai mein hospital pe bhar-" I cut her off by grabbing her hand. Yaha inka rona sehen nahi ho payea or ye hospital khi baat kar rahi hai.
"Your stomach must be hurting right?" I ask, she nodded.
"To mein appke liye hot watter bottle leke au?" letting go of her hand I place it on the bed.
