"Everything here looks good. How's your headaches?"

A smile formed on Ayla's face, "Almost completely gone." Jack couldn't help but smile back. Her smile was infectious. "That's great."

He looked down at the chart for a moment before adding, "Do you have any concerns?"

Ayla shook her head, "No. I feel good. I'm not as sore, the headaches are going away, and Cleo finally woke up yesterday. Everything's going great."

"I'm glad to hear that...Now, let's get these stitches out."

Jack was careful as he took out the stitches in her leg first and then her head. He looked over the scars to make sure they healed correctly and then gave her a nod telling her everything was good.

"Well it looks like this is it." Jack said as he walked her to the door.

"I guess so. Thank you, Dr. Ashford. You've been great."

He held up his hand and gave her a smile, "Of course Ms. Calaway, and please, call me Jack." She smiled back and held out her hand, "Ayla...Call me Ayla."

He took her hand and shook it, "I hope i'll see you again, Ayla."

Ayla laughed, "And I hope not. I'd prefer to not end up hurt again."

Jack's brows furrowed and he went to say something but he was cut off by one of his nurses, "Dr. Ashford, Mrs. DeLuca is here."

"Looks like you have to go. Thank you again, Jack." Ayla said as she pulled her hand away from his and walked away. He wanted to call after her but didn't, he needed to get to his next patient.

"Alright, there we go." Logan said as he opened the door to their apartment. "Now, do you want to go to your room, or the living room?" Ayla asked as her grip tightened around Cleo.

"The living room. I've been stuck in a bed for days and now i'm finally free...i'd rather not go back to a bed just yet." Cleo said and the other two laughed, "You got it."
