4: With The Way That We're Looking At Each Other

"You know, I still need to talk to Honey. So, stop trying to stop me, okay?" Lisa whispered at the top of her head.

"Hmmkay," she grumbled. "But we still need to talk. I'm staying here today and will wait for you."

"Okay." Lisa tried ending the hug but she held tight.

"Uhm, Jen, I need to take a shower." Just one more minute. She could sleep standing up, right then and there. "And, you need one too, Jen. Geez, you're starting to stink!"

She hit Lisa's shoulder, who was laughing, and pulled away, "I do not! How dare you, Manoban!" She knew she doesn't, but she couldn't help but get self-conscious. She does need to take a shower, so she turned around and let Lisa take hers.

After finishing her own shower, Lisa was long gone. There were clothes at the top of Lisa's bed when she got out of the bathroom. Jennie's heart warmed. It wasn't the first time that Lisa has done that. But that's the first time she realized, that Lisa has always been that thoughtful and considerate.

The whole morning, she just checked her phone, texted Jisoo. Took a nap and answered some emails. She's a freelance Architect, and she just recently finished a project. She doesn't really have anything better to do. In the afternoon, she decided to head to Lisa's kitchen and check if there's something to eat. There were frozen dinners and left-over pizza. Not really what she was in mood for. So, she headed out. After eating a subway sandwich, she texted Lisa.

JENNIE: What time are you getting back?

LISA: I'm on my way. So maybe, twenty, thirty minutes top. Why, missed me already?

She typed yes, before realizing what she was doing and deleted before she can send. Why would she miss Lisa, and obviously the accountant was just teasing?

JENNIE: So, what happened? Were you guys able to talk?

LISA: Yes. I'm driving, stop texting me. I'll tell you all about it later.

JENNIE: I'm out buying food. Your fridge has no real food. Do you want anything?

LISA: Just mandu kimchi. I'm not really hungry.

JENNIE: Alright. I'll buy soju, too.

LISA: Why? Are you planning to get me drunk?

LISA: Not that I'm complaining

...

LISA: Also buy beer!

...

LISA: Oh and some chicken, too!

JENNIE: Just fucking drive, Lisa. I'm at the Mart on the second street, pick me up in twenty.

"Come on, tell me what happened. What did you and Honey talked about?" she tried convincing Lisa. She doesn't plan to let go of the topic. She badly wanted to know everything.

"Your turn, take the shot." Lisa pushed the shot glass towards her, trying to avoid answering Jennie.

They decided to buy a bottle of tequila instead of soju, since her preferred peach flavored ones were sold out. They also bought lemons to go with the alcoholic drink.

"It's actually your turn." She gave the Thai a saucer of sliced lemon.

"You're really trying to make me drunk." Lisa put salt on her pink tongue, which Jennie was staring at with rapt attention, took the tiny glass of tequila and sucked the lemon wedge. "Whooo!" Lisa made a face after the shot.
