Cody's POV :
I drove back home after a shitty day at school , although the new girl Brooke made it less shitty. She was different. usually girls would practically fling themselves onto me but her? She didn't and I kinda liked that.
"Hey mom I'm home" i called once I got inside.
"Oh hey sweetie did you have a good day?" She says whilst watching TV.
"Yeah it was okay , I guess"
"Good , Cody hunni remember we have guests coming over in an hour so I want you to get changed into something nice alright?"
"Aw shit I forgot about the guests" I say groaning.
She sighs.
I run upstairs I keep the same black jeans on but take off my Hoodie and put on a white shirt with a black tie. I fix my hair and put my lip ring back in."
"CODY?" My mom calls from downstairs.
"YEAH" I shout back.
"Can you change your sister into something nice , I'm kinda busy with dinner right now?"
"Uh yeah sure mom" I reply.
I walk into Madison's room she's watching frozen like always.
"Hey mads"
"CODY " she screams "I missed you"
"I missed you too" I smile.
"Mommy says you need to get changed into something very pretty" I tell her whilst sitting on the bed beside her.
"Nooooo codyy I'm watching elsaaaaa" she drags out.
I laugh "Come on mads I'll make you just as pretty as elsa" I say.
She groans "okay"
I change Madison into a navy skirt with white birds over it , a white jumper and navy pumps. I brush her hair and take her downstairs.
"Aw doesn't someone look gorgeous" my mom coos at her.
She laughs.
"Codyy dressed me alllll nice" she says.
"He sure did" she smiles.
"Thanks Cody" my mom says to me.
"No problem" I reply.
"The doorbell rings.
"There here already shit do I look okay Cody?" My mom says.
"Mom you look fine who you tryna impress anyway" I laugh.
"Cody just go and get the door" she demands.
"Fine fine" I reply.
I walk down the hall to the front door and open it. A man and a woman stood there.
"Hi we're Mr and Mrs Ashford" the man says. "Sorry I'm late I..." A girl came up running beside them. She turns to face me at the door.
"Brooke?" I say.
"Aw shit" I hear her mumble.
"Cody?" I didn't no you lived here she fake smiles.
I fake smiled back at her.
"Come on in guys my moms in the kitchen"
They entered.
"Hello there Mr Ashford, Mrs ashford" my mom says hugging them both.
"and you must be Brooke right?" My mom says hugging her.
"Yeah" she replies.
"Well I believe your son and Brooke here know each other" Mrs Ashford says.
"Uhh yeah we go to the same school" Brooke says before I could speak.
I smile.
"That's good that you too know each other you can spend some time together later" my mom says.
"Yeah yea that would be nice" I say knowing it would piss Brooke off.
She gives me a death stare and I smirk at her.
We were seated at the table and we begin eating. I sit beside Madison Brooke is told to sit opposite me.
She avoids eye contact. I slightly kick her under the table.
"ahh" she says.
"Brooke are you alright? Her mom asks.
"Yea yeah i just hit my leg off the table" she lies.
I try to hide my laughter.
"What the fuck was that for?" she whispers to me.
"Your not looking at me" I whisper.
"Why the fuck would I want to?" she whispers back. {A/N - yes she is lying 😏}

Dinner was over pretty quickly. Brooke gets up to help with the dishes.
"It's okay sweetie I'll get those" my mom says.
"Cody why don't you take Brooke up to your room for a bit" she says.
"Yeah sure" I smirk.
She sighs and follows me upstairs.
