thanks to everyone who has been checking on me and still supporting during my hiatus, I appreciate you guys so much. Of course I have lost the passion to write since the passing of my mom and I've struggled to write and finish this chapter since last summer. please continue to be patient with me during this time guys, I'm trying to find the passion again, but I'm putting this out as I did have a bit of inspiration. I know it's short and I'm sorry in advance.
hopefully over the next few weeks, I'll slowly be able to ease my way back into the motion of putting out great material. anyways, I hope you guys have been well and I've missed you all so much.
enjoy, and please excuse any mistakes you may notice.

"You've been alright?" Easton asked while he and Luvie walked towards an empty table with their milkshakes. They sat across from each other, Easton licking the whipped cream off his finger.
Luvie shrugged, wiping the corner of her mouth with the back of her hand. "I've been managing," she finally answered before sipping her straw. "How have you been? How's Paris?"
"I been straight, been working like a bitch lately. And she's okay; she can't stand me right now," Easton told her, lightly grinning.
Luvie shook her head, tucking her hands in her lap. "You've been getting on her nerves? Stop stressing my baby mama out. She's supposed to be having a stress-free pregnancy," she scolded him.
"I'm not stressing her out; she be letting them hormones get to her ass. I chew too loud; she cusses me out. I laugh too loud, she cussing me out—shit, if she sees me having any fun, she cussing me out." Easton huffed, causing Luvie to laugh lightly.
Easton's girlfriend, Paris, discovered she was pregnant shortly after moving to Atlanta. This news shocked everyone; they had never known that Easton had a girlfriend.
And much to their surprise, he was head over heels for her. When he introduced her to the girls, they witnessed another side of Easton they hadn't seen before.
Although Tyra and Faven didn't speak to Easton as much, Luvie kept in contact with him, and over the next four months, Easton became another confidant of hers.
A person that she would surprisingly trust with her business before her brothers.
"Anyway, all bullshit aside, how have you been? You've been ducking our weekly ice cream dates for the last two weeks." Easton began to mug her while Luvie shifted in her seat.
A heavy sigh escaped her lips as her eyes darted around the outside patio at other people enjoying their frozen desserts. "I'm sorry, I've just...I guess I've been trying to get myself together since the semester started," she answered truthfully.
"Are you sure you haven't been trying to bury yourself in your assignments? Trying to avoid certain emotions and shit?" Easton read her, cocking his head to the side.
Luvie sucked her teeth, her face turning stale. "East, I thought we weren't getting to the therapist side of you until the end of our outing,"
"You know me better than that; you've got two weeks' build-up. Now spill it," Easton gestured for her to go on. Luvie placed her plastic cup down and licked over her lips.
