Chapter 8

      I don't know how long I sleep, but when I wake up, im relaxed and feeling much better. Sina and Zayne stay asleep longer, still taking in the last few days events harshly. I sigh, pulling the blankets off of my body and standing up, stretching slowly. I pull the braid out of my hair and untangle my hair with my fingers, making sure to get all the knots I see.

      A small noise outside the doors stops me and I look over towards the door just as it opens. A tall built frame of a body walks in. I first notice his eyes, a bright blue coloring, something you wouldn't see everyday...

Just like Coal... *sigh*

Oh, morning Sina...

Morning kid.

     The man walks in, slowly making his way closer to me. His blonde hair covers his left eye partially, keeping his looks appealing to myself. I cant keep my eyes off of him, the way he moves makes my heart flutter in every possible way.

Snap out of it! This cant be Coal! Its not the right scent!

Oh...right...

     I look at my feet instead, making it seem as if I were playing with a pebble.

"Am i too much to bare at once?" The man speaks, his voice rough on the edges.

"um... i guess" i whisper, keeping my eyes glued to the floor.

The man sits next to me on the bed. "Look at me." A hint of Alpha in his voice.

Slowly i bring my gaze to his and keep focused on his eyes. "That's better." He smiles.

"Beta, or Alpha?" I sigh.

"Beta, call me Justin." He replies smoothly

"Justin... hi?" I put on my best fake smile i can muster up.

    Justin stands, walking to the door slowly and closing it behind him. I hear faint voices outside, but don't dare to move. A few minutes later Justin walks back in, as calmly as before, but his facial expression is tense, ridged.

"Someone has come... claiming to be your mate?" He looks at me with hopeful eyes.

"I don't know..." Is all i reply, looking back at the floor.

This could be Coal!

Coming to save the day!

I hope... i hope its him...

     Justin walks back out, coming in seconds later. The first thing that has my head snap up in seconds is Coal's scent. Strong as ever. I look up, seeing a small male, black hair, bright green eyes. Hes small compared to Justin. I know its Coal, and he knows its me. We look at each other briefly before Coal looks away. Justin nods in approval and leaves the room, letting Coal stay with me. I jump up and hug Coal, not wanting to let go.

"Coal? Is that really you!?" I whisper

"Asuna? Its me!" he replies

Happy couple, i see!

Oh shut up, moron!

*laughs*

    The door opens again, slowly and instead a man with superior build walks in. A scar across his right eye, his left a hazel brown color watches us, before Coal lets me go and stands in front of me. The man looks between both of us quickly, then something unexpected happens.

The man leaps at Coal, turning into a silver grey wolf at the same, time. Coal is pinned to the floor quickly, as the silver wolf starts tearing him apart.

"COAL! NO!" I scream.
