I stood by the nurses station as always when a flurry of people in light blue scrubs escaped from the intern locker room. I didn't manage to get a good glimpse of anyone. Thats ok though, Cristina is on my service today and she has a group of new interns.

I can't wait to see how Cristina is with these suckers.

Cristina was charging down the hallway, an even more pissed off look than usual. Behind her were four interns with a mixture of nervous and excited expressions. One guy looked like a mouse. Another guy looked like a budget Timothee Chalamet. One of the girls just looked unhappy. And the other girl was happy. Although, she seemed kind of familiar.

"Hello Dr Yang! Beautiful Seattle morning am I right?" I said with a wide grin.

I was met with a "Fuck off" and a middle finger.

"You do know you're on my service today, right?"

"I still hate you" she said with dark eyes.

"I'll ignore that. Okay so who do we have here?" I said motioning to the group of interns

"1,2,3,4" she said, pointing to the respective interns.

"Really? You aren't even gonna try and learn their names?"

She gave me a blank stare.

"Okay then- I'll start. My name is Dr Sloan. There a two of us here, the other being my older brother. I am the head of Cardiothoracics here at Seattle Grace. Now what's your name?" I asked the mouse looking guy.

"Ryan Spalding" he said, looking elsewhere

I then looked at the budget Timothee Chalamet

"Steve Mostow" he said with a shaky voice

I then looked at the unhappy looking one

"Dani Mandvi" she said with dark eyes

And finally i looked at the happy one.

"Lexie, Lexie Grey, it's nice to meet you!" She said, extending her hand for me to shake. I delicately shook it.

"Nice to meet you too,"

Yup. Definitely my favourite of the lot. But wait a minute. Grey..?

"Wait. Grey as in Meredith Grey?"

"She's my half sister! But we've never met. And i don't think she knows I exist, let alone working in the same hospital as her"

I stood in silence for a second processing her little rambling trauma dump.

"Okay then... Well, let's get started. First patient of the day is a 28 year old woman who was crushed beneath a car. She has been coding the whole time she has been here but we keep getting her back. She has cardiac tamponade so I will need one of you to join me in surgery and help with a pericardiocentesis to remove the fluid. Yang?"

"Alright, 1 and 2, scut. 3, with me. 4, rectal exams."

The three interns who were sent away mooed and complained at each other while the one that stayed remained in her happy state, in fact, seeming even happier.

"3, you can do the pre-op work up" Cristina said monotonously with a sigh. As Dr Grey ran off to do her job

"What? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?" I asked with a nudge

"I hate interns"

"You'll learn to love 'em"

Just as I was scrubbing in for the pericardiocentesis, a head popped around the door.

"Do you need anything else Dr Sloan?" Dr Grey asked with a sweet voice.

"No it's all good. You can watch up in the gallery if you like" I replied before walking into the OR.

***Lexie POV***

I walked through the door to the gallery and sat in the front row. Only two other people were there. I'm guessing they were residents? But I can't believe Im actually here! I made it to internship. And everyone else looks a lot older than me. Guess thats the perks of skipping third grade because of your photographic memory.

Dr Sloan and Dr Yang seem to be good friends. I can see them chatting to each other as Dr Sloan is letting her insert the needle. I hope I can be like that soon. I can hardly wait to be a real doctor.

Dr Sloan is so cool! She's not even mean to me like the rest of the attendings. Although, the other attendings don't seem to like the interns that much. But even Dr Sloan doesn't like the other interns. Thats a bit weird. What if she does hate me and is trying to set me up to fail? Oh god now I'm nervous.

***Time Skip Y/N POV***

After a successful first day for all of the interns and the residents, I feel the need to celebrate. So the only logical thing I can think of is to throw a party. I mean, it's not like my house isn't big enough?

I sent a text to everyone that I know who works here and told them to tell everybody. I mean, what could go wrong?
