The sun lit up the room through a small crack between the silk curtains. With a yawn and a stretch, I gently sat up and rested myself against the velvet headboard of my queen size bed. I stood up in my satin robe and opened the curtains to reveal the Seattle skyline, framed by a soft red sunrise behind the floor length windows. The main reason i bought this new apartment was for the beautiful view, but also the privacy with it being the penthouse.
Today is my first day as a cardio thoracic surgeon at Seattle Grace Hospital. Im not nervous though because my older brother Mark is already working there as a Plastic surgeon with our friends, Derek and Addison.
After staring out the window for a few minutes, I walked to my bathroom to take a shower and prepare for my first shift.
Once i had finished doing my makeup, i put on a white button up shirt and a pair of black trousers/ black skirt with some black boots. With a final spray of (favourite scent) perfume, I locked the door and hopped in the elevator to get to the ground floor.
As i stepped out, I pulled my helmet on and jumped on my (favourite colour) Harley Davidson and sped off to the hospital.
**Time skip to Seattle Grace**
I stood in front of the hospital, taking in the massive building when I heard a familiar voice behind me.
"Little Sloan!" Shouted an excited Derek.
"Ricky!" I yelled back with enthusiasm
"Hey, you know I hate it when you call me that" he said a little unimpressed
"And I'm not little" I retaliated, jokingly sticking my tongue out
"Anyway, what are you doing here?"
"I'm your new cardio goddess" I said before letting out a proud huff and putting my hands on my hips.
He laughed and then paused when he realised I was completely serious.
"Oh wow, you really have grown"
"Not so little huh?"
I grabbed his arm and walked through the door towards the elevator
"So how's Addie?"
Having noticed he didn't reply i looked to see him cringe slightly
"Oh god, what happened? Is she ok? Please tell me she didn't die?"
"She's not dead, she's fine, we just got a divorce.."
"Oh I'm sorry to hear"
I stopped as we had reached the elevator and pressed the button to call it down.
"How was London?" Derek asked after a slightly awkward silence.
"It was good and the people were nice but I prefer it here"
We stepped into the elevator and just as the doors were closing, a hand gripped one side and opened the doors to reveal none other than my favourite (and only) sibling, Mark.
"Marky!!"
"Y/n/n!!"
He pulled me into a big bear hug as the doors closed.
**Time skip to attendings lounge**
I put my helmet in my locker and then took off my shirt and placed it with the scrub top and then repeating the process with my trousers/skirt and pulling on my white coat.
Then, i walked out to Dr Webber's office to be introduced to the hospital once again. After my debrief, i gracefully walked towards the nurses station before paging my assigned interns, two people named Dr Yang and Dr Stevens.
Whilst waiting, i spotted a redhead racing towards me with her head buried in a patients' chart, paying zero attention to her surroundings. I walked into the middle of the hallway and stood with my hands on my hips until she reached and mumbled an "Excuse me". I didn't budge and instead just said
"Not even a 'hello'?"
This caused her to snap her head up in surprise and stare, mouth agape.
"Keep your panties on theres people around"
"Darling!! I missed you so much!"
She said, completely ignoring my comment. I pulled her into a hug. She pulled away after kissing me on my cheek and held onto my shoulders.
"How long are you staying?"
"At least a year, probably longer though"
"Thats great! I missed you lots but I have a patient so I have to go. See you at lunch?"
"Ok, see you at lunch!"
I said before jokingly smacking her ass as she walked off, earning a giggle and a "I'll get you back for that later"
I turned around to see two interns exchanging amused looks with each other. I presumed they heard most of that conversation.
"Can I help you?" I asked, looking down slightly
"You paged us, Dr.. umm.."
"Sloan"
That caused them to exchange another look
"Right, let's go. Also stop looking at each other like that. If you have something to say just say it"
They both looked at me like guilty children.
"Or don't... I guess" I said slightly weirded out by them.
My first patient at Seattle was a valve replacement which went smoothly and the two interns kept giving each other looks most of the times that i spoke. How rude.
**Time Skip/Christina POV**
"Have you guys seen the new Cardio God?" I asked after sliding onto the gurney next to Meredith, Izzie, George, and Alex.
"No, is he hot?" Meredith asked
"She is, and she's Sloans sister" Christina said smugly.
"I think we should give her a fitting nickname. Maybe McHottie?" Izzie butted in
"Nah that's Dr Montgomery. I'm thinking something more like McSexy"
"Wait so are you on her service?"
"Yeah, also there seems to be something between her and McHottie" Izzie said proudly.
"If you want to see, I'm pretty sure they're still in the cafeteria together"
At that, the three girls shot up and sprinted to the cafeteria.
