well well well...
Hello you lovely humans, long time no chat!
I believe the last "update" was in 2021 when I started editing... and well that was three years ago , and only edited until like chapter 7 lol. It's also been NINE years since this story was first published (insane, wtf) and I literally cannot believe that I still get votes and comments on it to this day! Like holy shit! lol.
For a little life update if you so please:
• I'm in my fifth year of university (what the fuck) and I graduated with my first degree in may 2023 and I am currently on my second degree, graduating may 2025! (I started this book in eighth grade for context)!
• I am getting married next summer to my high school sweetheart (we've been together for six and a half years now! He's a real g, I love this dude sm)
• We bought our first house last June! (Ya girl has a literal mortgage, wtaf)
• I have two beautiful fur babies, my beloved cats Juice and Toast
• I am still writing, just mostly on Tumblr now and specifically dedicated to Bad Omens (my two year fan- anniversary was two days ago! Fuckin love BO, I am Noah Sebastian obsessed)
• I still love the maze runner, with all my heart, but it's from my childhood so it's a very different kind of love now <3
• I still plan on editing this book, I did a bit tonight haha, so stay tuned for some updates and added parts to chapters!
Overall, I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who continues to enjoy this very cringe book. Fanfic was very different 9 years ago, so yes this book holds some stereotypes and things people may not enjoy- but old fanfic was literally built different lol. And tbh, it's kinda nostalgic. But also let's just say thank god my old one direction fanfics no longer live on this account LMAO. (It was very "I only wore converse with my messy bun, no makeup, I was a bro, and one direction adopted me" type beat).
But for real, I still shit my pants (not literally, figuratively) realizing this book has over one million reads. Like what the fuck, haha.
Anyway, I hope that wherever you are in life, whether you're an older fan, or a younger new fan- that you keep on dreaming, and keep on enjoying fanfic. Never let fanfic die, and keep on reading that shit- because life's too short to not enjoy it. We love being delulu over here and hyperfixation on our fictional crushes.
