Days went by and Xavier was thinking of how to confess his feelings to Hazel when she has been trying hard to avoid him. If he tried calling her to his room, maybe to clean, she does it quickly and leaves immediately. Relles also tried helping Xavier but Hazel seemed not to fall for it. Jordan has also been coming to check on her and to Xavier, they were growing closer.
The witches had called Xavier to ask about the body of the girl
"You haven't gotten any information on where the body was burnt or disposed" Edith asked
"If I have, I would have mentioned it" Xavier said
"We have been searching also but have not found"
"It must have decomposed already, considering how long it was since I killed her"
"Her remains will do"
"Why do I feel like you are deceiving us" Edith pointed giving Xavier a suspicious glance

"I found out the girl is still alive" Selles said
"Alive?" Edith and Pelles said
"I said I killed her so how can she be alive" Xavier questioned
"I'm the queen of the dark witches,I'm very sure of what I'm saying, its just that there's something blocking me from seeing her face" Selles said
"And what is it" Pelles asked
"A black smoke emitting from a creature that seems to he protecting her, it covering her and I've never seen anything like that before"
"How does it look like" Edith asked
"Can't say, it changes its appearance at some point"
"Now, we stop searching graves but the living"
"Yes"
"Can you identify a white witch" Xavier spoke again
"We can sense them if they are close" Selles said "but we can also get her through her relatives"
"Do you know any relative of hers"
"Yes" and Xavier narrowed his eyes but kept his face unchanged
"And where does this relative stay so I can torture the person till they speak" Xavier asked
"Its her dad and I guess, he's in Poetwyth"
"At Poeteyth?" Xavier asked to confirm
"Yes"
"I'll send my men to search there"
"Don't worry I'll tell the witches there to find out"
"If you say so" Xavier withdrew to avoid suspicion.
When the witches left, Xavier contemplated on what to do next, he had already sent a letter to the Adams some days ago but he hadn't stated that they should release him immediately and sending another letter will take another day or two to reach. He had to get Hazel's dad, Lionel first before the with s gets him.
"First thing tomorrow, you'll go to Poetwyth and get Lionel here" Xavier said to Lucas
"Why, I thought you said next month"
"The witches has found out he's Hazel's dad and a are going after him"
Lucas was one person that knows about Xavier and everything with the witches including that of Hazel being a witch
"So you're bringing him here to the mansion"
"Not at the mansion, but in Borreve. They will spot him easily if he was here"
"So where will he stay"
"I'll get a place, just get him here first"
"Okay but it will take up to five days before I come back. Poetwyth is a two days journey"
"I'm aware"
"What of you and Hazel's situation"
"Still haven't found a perfect moment"
By the next day, Xavier had found a perfect place for Lionel I'd he comes. He was going this for himself and Hazel. For Hazel, so that she won't lose her only family remaining and for himself cause if the witches get hold of him, they have gotten hold of Hazel and she will do anything just to save her dad. The house he would be staying will not be far from the town. Also, he was still trying to find a good time to confess to Hazel bit nothing was coming. She would be leaving in the next two days and there was nothing he could do
Meanwhile, outside, Lucas was getting ready the carriage when Lady Dorin came around. She cane down from her carriage and walked towards Lucas
"Good day,Lady Dorin" Lucas greeted first
"Is the Lord around" she asked ignoring his greeting
"Yes, he is"
"I would like to see him"
"I'm sorry, but he currently doesn't want to see anybody"
"And is this because of that maid"
"I'm sure Mrs Decron would have told you that she is no longer his maid"
"So its true" she said smiling a little "but however, I still want to see the Lord"
"And I said he isn't in the mood yo entertain visitors"
"You do know I'm his future wife right? So you should respect me"
"And I've told you till then, but for now, I only answer the Lord"
"And when that time comes, I'll makes sure I throw you out of the mansion"
"You can come back later to meet him"
"Whatever"
He bowed his head again
"Tell Xavier I came but you didn't allow me in"
"I'll do just that"
At Hazel's room, she had packed up her stuffs and had written her resignation letter to give Xavier. She just waited for evening,so she could give him and the next day she would spend it with Jordan and finally leave after two days. She has abruptly stopped working in the kitchen, although she was still fed with the normal servants food since she also refused the good food Xavier had asked Collins to give her. As she was packing, she saw the emerald dress Xavier gave her for that party, and it reminded her of her first kiss. She blushed at the memory. She kept it aside as she planned on returning it.
