Internal Misery : The lost emotion

Chapter 1: The Encounter

On a dark moonlit night
Sucy, a young girl in her teenage years was going back home through the dark alleyway of her town .

She had bruises and cuts all over her body, blood was flowing down her head as if someone or rather something had hit her hard on the head . She was halfway through the alleyway thinking about her life which had been broken into a million pieces, it simply couldn't be fixed .

Things were always this way for Sucy, she was considering "unlucky" by everyone in her town, family and school. Her mother had a medical condition called"schizophrenia" which made her delusional, due to this condition she couldn't take care of Sucy. Sometimes she would beat Sucy with a stick or glass bottle as she thought she was a demon . Her father was a cheater who had multiple affairs and he didn't care about Sucy's mother . When he would get drunk he used Sucy as a punching bag .He only cared about her brother, who  was the future heir of his company, Paradox . Her brother,Oscar took care of her but as  she grew older he started taking sexual advantage of Sucy . Her school life was even worse, children bullied her, not physically but mentally . They gaslighted  and manipulated her into becoming their minion. After that they threw her like she was garbage. "Why would they do that ?""Was I not enough?" Sucy used to think, but as time passed she realised they were just toying with her, she had no purpose.No one was there to guide her just when she thought things couldn't get worse her cat, Lilith died due to an accident that her brother had intentionally caused as Sucy didn't obey him . Lilith was Sucy's only hope to survive in this twisted world . He had been there for her since she was six . Sucy started to feel mad and she thought she would loose her sanity, she raised her voice at this injustice. But in the end her brother beated her up and her parents did the same thinking of her as a nuisance.

All of this made her feel like trash, worst than trash .
She was so depressed that she wanted to kill herself . But she was smart enough to know things wouldn't get better if she ended her life. Her only escape was to go to the  animal shelter, where no one judged her or beated her up . Sucy wasn't that good at handling emotions or people but she was great in handling animals . Some people who worked their were concerned for Sucy, but they couldn't do anything as her father had more power against them . 

Just as Sucy was rembering these traumatic events, she heard a sound ......
She was so lost in thought that she had reached the entery of the dumpster . "I guess I have no choice but to stay here...." Sucy mumbeled to herself . Life at her house was so depressing that she'd rather stay at the dumpster. "It's not like they've saved food for me either, they never do...." Sucy though . Just as she was about to enter the dumpster , she saw a black cat that looked like Lilith. She suddenly remembered the traumatic memories of her cat's death and started having a mental breakdown. Suddenly, she heard a loud sound coming from behind . She was about to turn back ...but her guts told her it was a bad idea . Fortunately, she trusted her guts with that situation and stayed still like a statue.

She suddenly felt a  hand  on her shoulder. The light coming from the moon made it easier to make out what the hand looked like....it was black and abnormally large. It felt cold and its grip tightened. Sucy felt sick to her stomach. She couldn't control the situation or rather she was afraid to admit that she felt distilled and terrified,  like she always has. Suddenly,the black cat rushed towards Sucy and scratched the hand away from her shoulder. A loud sream went through the creature's throat. It was so loud that the ground shoke for a minute or two until the creature disappeared.

Sucy was left there  speechless and  terrified.
Instantly, the black cat started to talk to Sucy. " My name is  Easton , preety lady. I am here to inform you that you are in great danger and I was sent to protect you " the  black cat said. Sucy was stunned and chills ran down her spine . She was about to run away but the black cat stopped her . "Oh...You don't have to be afraid Sucy , honey.. I won't harm you . I was sent to protect you, look at you all exhausted from crying and all these cuts and bruises around your body ...oh dear" the black cat said .
"H....h....how......ca...n.....I ..... believe........y...o...u.....?" "I don't even know you!" "And how do you know my name?! Why would you want to protect me?Who sent you here? How can a cat like you talk-"  "I know you're scared and confused but please stop the questioning train, I shall answer all of them after you've calmed down "Easton said."Stop pitying me! And how am I suppose to calm down just....". "Alright..... looks like you don't need me ........ I understand I'll go now,have a great night~"

"WAIT!" "Please don't leave me.....I mean stay!"Sucy said.                    "Oh honey~,you want me to stay?"Easton asked in a cunning voice.                                                     "Yes! Although all of this is weird it's not like I have a choice.....plus it's better if I stay with you ......I don't trust you and I also don't know who you are but you saved me from that creature so......"Sucy said hesitatingly.                           "Okay, but I want you to sign a contract with me if you want me to stay so badly sugar~"Easton said with a grin."Hey! But didn't you say you were suppose to protect me ? Plus you came there first so why should I sign the contract?"Sucy said suspiciously.                              "Oh darling, but didn't you tell me to leave? Now  your just asking for a favour...... it's not like like you saw me and fell in love with me at first sight~ or is it?"Easton said with a cunning tone and a mischievous grin.                           "No-o! It's not like that and please stop calling me all 'those names' and why would I fall in love with a cat? Stop trying to manipulate me and just stay with me for the night!And when did I ask you to leave?" Sucy said.

"Now, now,dear let's get to the point. I was suppose to protect you but you denied so if you want me to stay you'll have to sign a contract with me"Easton said in a  serious tone.

"I didn't ask you to leave! Ughh..forget it!....How can I come in a contract with a cat?"Sucy said exhausted.
"Dear....... looks like you have alot of issues...how can you trust a strange cat which can talk and come in a contract with it?I don't want to be rude but that's a real bimbo act there,love ".  "...Please...first stop calling me all those names! and second I know but it's not like I have a choice okay? I don't want to do this but if the contract can bring me to peace I'll sign it!.....Now tell me what the contract is about little black cat ".

"Ahh..I love a lady that is straight forward, for your information love, I'm not a cat "
"Then....what are you?.....your.... not like that creature right?....". "Don't get concerned darling~, I don't want to see my sugar vexed, just worry that you don't want to fall in love with my looks and personality~"*wink*
