As me and Walker swung on the swings, I couldn't help but just stare at him. Not in a creepy way but you know, basically admire him. I still can't believe I hated him over some stupid reason. Now that i'm looking back, I can get really competitive 🤠

I heard a slight grumble coming from my stomach. "Are you hungry?" Walker asked in a curious tone. "Oh! You heard that!" I said in utter embarrassment. I covered my face with my hands (not in a cringy way 💀) as I kept swinging.

"No it's good. Honestly, im getting hungry too." He laughed to himself. I gave him a quick smile before he continued to talk. "Wanna go ask the others if they are hungry too?" He suggested. I nodded my head in agreement as we got off the swings and started to walk over to Leah, Aryan and Momo.

"Yall wanna get something to eat?" I asked. "YESSSS-" Momona yelled as she was coming down the slide. "Yea, im hungry too." Aryan added on and Leah agreeing with him. Deciding on what we were going to snack on, the majority of us picked on getting ice cream from a nearby ice cream shop.

Once we got there, we all went to the front to look at the menu. "Hmm I'll get the.... cookies and cream." I hear another voice speak as I was saying my order. "Wow, guess yall do have somethings in common." Leah said to me and Walker. Who knew we liked the same flavor of ice cream.

We all left the ice cream shop, we all started to walk back to Leah's house cause we were all finna go back home. Since it was Saturday, when I would get home, I was gonna start practicing for the debate that was happening ina few weeks.

"Hey." I said trying to get Walker's attention. I started to think about what Walker said in the cafeteria yesterday. Did he really mean it or am I just overthinking? "Hmm?" He hummed. "You remember yesterday, like we when was in the cafeteria. Did you mean what you said?" I asked him sincerely.

He looked at me before starting to slightly laugh without making it obvious. It was very obvious. "Sorry im not tryna laugh but no, I didn't." He replied with a slight smile on his face. My face turned into a more relieved expression. "Honestly, I felt bad about what I said earlier, but one thing i'll always never regret saying to you." He stopped before he continued.

I give him a confused look. "That im always smarter than you." He said with a smirk while looking at me in my eyes. Im surprised he didn't trip.

I felt some sort of magnetic pull between us. As we were staring at each other, it was like time slowed down for us. Meanwhile in reality, Leah, Aryan and Momo were way ahead of us. But now back to Walker.

The way he was staring at me felt... familiar in some sort of way. Like the majority of times I caught him staring at me when we were still "enemies". The way his ocean blue eyes just caught a hold on m- Ok Y/n- what are you thinkingggg

I snap back into reality as I playfully roll my eyes at him. "Whatever makes you sleep at night." I told him while I patted him on his shoulder and started skipping to the rest of our friends.

"Finn, you will not believe the day i've had." I spoke aloud to my cat, Finn. I got Finn when I was about (whatever age yall want it to be 😭) on my birthday. He's always there to comfort me if I ever failed a test or just to cuddle you know.

I placed my bag down on my floor and collapsed face first onto my bed. Finn started to walk over to me and hopped on my bed. I turn my head to the side he was on to face him. I lifted my arm so me and Finn could cuddle.

After a few minutes of cuddling with my wonderful cat, I check my phone to see what time it is. "Damn it's only 3:54" I thought to myself. Honestly, it felt way longer since I was hanging out with Walker and the group.

Whoaaa- Did I just single out Walker? I loose my train out thought when I hear someone call my name downstairs. "Y/n!" My mom yelled. "I'll be right back." I told Finn as I gave him a quick kiss on the top of his head.

"Yes mom?" I said while walking downstairs. "Look, it wasn't me who invited him." She said with a nervous look on her face. I gave her a "Huh?" look. She started walking over to the front door. I went with her and saw the person I wanted to see the least.

"What the hell are you doing here." I said angrily. "Language Y/n." My mom told me. "Does it look like I care right now, what is he doing in our house." I snapped back. (see now if I told my mom that 😬) "Look Y/n, I know you don't wanna see me right now but, I need you to pack your things." My dad told me.

"Haha, you're funny. I'm NOT moving to Colorado with you." I spat. "Well you have no choice. Your mom and I already talked about it." My dad said. My heart shattered. I slowly turned my head towards my mom as my eyes started to fill with salty tears.

"Really mom." I said with my voice crack every time I tried to speak. Her eyes also started to tear up but not as much as mine were. "Im so sorry Y/n but I thought this would be the bes-" "The best for me?!" I cut her off. "If you really knew the best for me, you wouldn't be sending me anywhere with him." I cried.

I started to race up my stairs and into my room. Did I start to pack my stuff? Yes. Was I going with my dad? Fuck no. He made my childhood a living hell. Now im remembering why I hated Walker; my dad's stupid mind manipulation tricks.

I started to pack some essential stuff that I would need aka my toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, phone charger and other things. Good thing my bag was still packed from the sleepover so I just added more clothes and food for finn cause of course im taking him, wherever im going...

See I never thought running away would be on my bucket list but, here we go-
