"He- what?"

Class 1A watched the look on your face as they informed you of Midoriya's recent disappearance.

"He decided to become a vigilante, to no longer put us in danger," Uraraka said sadly.

Aizawa took a deep breath and walked back to the couch you were sitting on as the class surrounded you.

"Alright, it's getting late. Everyone go back to your dorms." He said as he placed a hand on your shoulder, "It's late and Y/N needs to head home."

The class unanimously sighed, murmuring a quick goodnight before heading upstairs to their rooms. They were putting a brave face, but truth was, you knew deep down they were scared and confused on everything happening right now.

Which did not make your chest feel any lighter, rather only making it hurt more.

"By the way Y/N, Nezu and the pro heroes agreed that for now Recovery Girl will be the only nurse needed in UA." He stopped to make sure everyone had left so no one else could hear him.

"So what will I be doing?" You cocked your head.

"You're going to be working on missions. There's currently a lack of heroes, and we need as much help possible. And everyone knows your healing quirk is the best."

"So I'm not going to be with the kids anymore?"

Aizawa shook his head, "You're most likely going to tag along Hawks or Endeavor. But you won't be around UA grounds much anymore."

"Oh." You said quietly, "Do the kids know this?"

"No, we weren't planning on telling them until classes started. They're already upset about Midoriya's disappearance."

You inhaled sharply.

"Don't worry Y/N, we'll get Midoriya soon. And defeat the league, we only need to properly prepare and get all the help we can."

"Right." You admitted, a sad smile gracing your lips. Your heart sinking at his last sentence.

After that night, things became even more tense. A month had passed since you decided to cut ties with Tomura, which was much harder than you expected.

You couldn't bear to look at his unread messages, and in order to prevent future you from running to him, you went as far as blocking his number.

Though you would be lying if you said you weren't busy. Every day you were accompanying Hawks and Endeavor.

Days were spent planning on different attacks, going in small missions and evening speaking in interviews.

The interviews were just an extra. This was mostly to help bring a peace of mind to the public. Ever since the war, many citizens had lost their love ones. And the heroes hadn't done anything about it but holding secrets.

Including you.

And so lot of people were slowly beginning to turn their backs on Endeavor. And now it was your job, to make the public feel safe again.

Hawks was a professional at it and Mirko didn't seem to mind. You on the other hand felt like a total phony, but luckily the audience and news reporter seem to fall for your act.

"Today, we're going out all day and patrolling the night." Hawks drawled. His gloved grip tightening around your shoulder, "Just you and me."

"Hey, go easy on her." Mirko said sympathetically, "She's not yours to toy with. If it weren't for her you would be inside a KFC fry pan right now with all those fights you get yourself into."
