"My sister loves your work," I spoke while staring at the pictures. She was always perfect in everything.

"I know," Jasmin shrugged.

"She would freak if she knew that you were even here."

"Oh, she already knows. I meant her last week," She waved it off while sewing the dress. Charlie and Dalton made themselves comfortable on a couch sitting near the sewing machine. I watched as she continued to sew. I noticed something on the floor.

"Is that a bow?" I picked up a big orange bow from the ground.

"Yup, it was on the dress, but Dalton hated it." She  finished because she cut the thread and stuck the needle in a foam ball nearby on a table. "There we go," She smiled. I stared at the dress. It was beautiful. The skirt of the dress was ruffles and had the right amount of fluffiness. The top of the dress was decorated in clear crystal beading and strapless. I walked around it and viewed at the front of it. It was beautiful but I felt like it was missing something, it seemed a little too simple to be Jasmin's work. Peaches liked wearing her stuff and those outfits and handbags weren't simple. "Well, put it on."

"What?" I was confused. She laughed.

"I spent the last couple days making this just for you, it's perfect. The orange goes perfect with your skin tone and it makes your light blue eyes pop."

"You made this in two days?"

"You would be surprise at what I can make in two days dear." She couldn't hold back her smile as she asked me to try it on again, "Go ahead and put it on. I need to re-size it to fit your body."

I don't get why I was so excited about this.

"What for?"

"Dalton did ask you out on a date, right?"

"Well yeah," I glanced at Dalton and he gave me a warm smile. "Does it really require a ball gown as beautiful as this?"

"Of course!" She was taking the dress off of the mannequin for me. "My company is throwing a ball for designers and celebs around. The theme this year is masquerade. Funny story, we pick out of a hat each year for a theme."

"Last year was a wedding theme," Dalton was by my side suddenly, scaring me slightly. "I wore a simple black tux with a red rose in the pocket."

"I went classy for my designs," She pulled the dress off the dummy and placed the gown in my arms. "Probably not my best idea, but damn those other dresses and suits were outrageous. I actually was the talk of the show though for my simple designs and sold a lot of my dresses and suits for weddings. People begged for them."

"So this dance...it's a couples thing?" I asked.

"Well last year was a couple's thing; you can't have a bride without her groom. This year though, it's not. But considering now that my son has a date for this, I made this. Just for you. One of a kind." I was flattered.

"How does this dance go?"

"Well fashion designers around create outfits. I've always used my son as a model, but most of the time we designers pick models or celebs who would be invited to show case our work. It's all fun. I'm excited for this year because my son finally has a date."

"Mum," Dalton's cheek redden and I could help but smile.

Peaches.

The royal red dress I had to pick up from that shop. That explains why she needed such a dress. I couldn't go. No. With Peaches there she would notice me and kick me out. The only place she and my mother never let me go to were this kind of events. The one where they dress up and go out to socialize. They left me home or I had to work.

I stared down at the dress.

"I can't."

Her face fell, "Why not."

"My mother and sister will be there."

"What's the problem with that Darling?" Charlie questioned from the couch.

"They...they've never taken me to those kind of things. They always told me I would get in the way and it would cost too much money to just take me. I didn't deserve to go out to such an event."

"Peaches said that?" Dalton was not please and neither was Charlie.

"Well, shocker, she's a complete ass to me."

"Wow," Charlie mumbled. Jasmin's face held a sad look. Dalton didn't look the least bit happy at the moment and I could understand why. He didn't like that Peaches was mean towards me. But he only knew the little bit of it. Peaches has always been mean towards me and always showed off in front of me to make me feel like I was crap and had no successful life like she does.

"What does she do?" Dalton questioned. His tone told me that he wanted to know.

"She mean, shows off her fame at me, treats me like a servant, she's nasty towards me, brings me down half the time, and has never been the least bit nice to me for as long as I can remember," He shook his head. I didn't get why I just told him all that without a problem but it felt right to tell him. Like he had to right to know how my sister was like towards me. I felt better knowing that I have told someone who I feel like I could trust. Hell, I never even told Sean about my sister. He only thinks that Peaches's 'friends' were mean to me.

"So this Perfect Peaches?" Jasmin asked, "Isn't so perfect?"

"She is, but not towards me," I answered while placing the dress in her hands. "I feel like she wouldn't be too happy to see me there at the dance. She might do something to me to make it bad for me."

"But, she won't know you're there," Dalton spoke and I turned my head to him but something covered my eyes. I felt fabric being tied around my head and once it stopped moving I opened my eyes to see Dalton smiling at me. I felt around my head to feel the soft fabric. "It is a masquerade ball, you can be my Cinderella."

"You're so cheesy," I blushed. I glanced at Jasmin. She was wide eyes.

"That's it!" She shouted.
