Y/N POV

I'm... Coming back? I can feel Destiney rebuilding my soul, and I have never known happiness and peace till now. I watch as one by one, souls like me disappear. One by one, they're leaving Destiny's hold and going... back to Earth? I feel euphoric, till I see a single soul. It's familiar, and when I draw closer to it I feel safe. Natasha... But, if she's here then... She must have died for the stones. I take it and hold it close to me, she's here and I'm leaving. I won't leave her here; I can't make myself. Taking her back would mean a sacrifice of something that makes up a part of me, I'd need to sacrifice... Everything.

I'm about to let go, when I see another soul. I go to it and touch it lightly, it's a woman... She died for the stones too, like Natasha. However, this soul didn't go willingly and there is much sorrow and pain. I try to find her name, through her memories without invading to much personal stuff. Gamora, her name is Gamora. Don't you dare... A voice in my mind screams at me as I scoop up the woman's soul. Doing this means you must sacrifice more than what you can handle! I ignore her and let go... Slowly fading back into existence.

.                                                                                                            .                                                                                 .

Waking up on my back in the middle of a city is not how I thought it would be when I woke up. "Ugh... What in the..." I twist my head to see Natasha lying next to me, groaning as she rises to a sitting position. When she sees me, her smile is everything Eldga wouldn't give me.

"(Y/N)??" She asks, and I all but squeal as I launch myself into the assassins arms... My mother's arms. She hugs me back, then pulls away, "How am I...?".

"Another story for another time, Mom... Sorry, Natasha!" My face flushes with embarrassment, but Nat's eyes swelled with pride. "We need to find the others, before we do anything." Part of me wonders where Gamora reappeared, and who she was before all of this. I look around, this was around the place where I died.

"The others will most likely be at the Avengers Base... We could get there by nightfall." Nat muses.

"How?" I ask as I get up into a standing position, pulling her up with me. She promptly takes a car and hotwires it... Damn I love my mom.

Loki POV

I have never felt pain or happiness like this before. My entire arm feels destroyed as they gingerly take the glove off. My arms severely burned, but I know I'll still be able to use it... Barely."(Y/n)?" I plead with the others desperately asking every one of them where she is... But they give me no answer. I want to hear her, to hold her... I even want to hear her screams when she finds out I almost died to bring her back. I wince as Banner tries to minimize damage.

"Sorry, but that gauntlet thing burned you really badly, and because of your weakness towards fire and anything heat related... The damage will be worse than usual. You'll still have an arm, it'll just be scarred very, very badly up to the shoulder and mid neck." Banner explained to me as he rubbed balms over the seared skin and bandaged it. I watch as my entire right hand and shoulder drown in a sea of gauze.

"Banner... I never apologized, we both are different and have similarities... I'm sorry, I'm afraid I'm becoming delirious." I chuckle dryly, but Banner seems to understand. He nods as he continues working.

"Brother! She's here..." Thors words freeze my entire being into that one spot, I rise slowly, and Banner rises too.

"A-A-And Natasha... What about her?" Banners voice mirrors my mood, shaky and unpredictable.

Thor smiles, "Friends, the sun will shine on us once again..." His words snap something inside of me, I feel as if I'm in a lucid dream. The rest is a blur of voices and movement as we all head to the entrance, I wonder if she'll hug me... I might even kiss her... No, I better give her some space. Norns, what if she still hates me?! "Brother, calm down. She will most likely still be delirious, or she will be exhausted." I nod, but I can't hear him as I see an unfamiliar car in the entrance of the base.

(Y/n) POV

We have been driving on familiar roads now for a while as Natasha explains the details of the past five years, telling me about the "Blip" or whatever. I'm listening, but now I have the strange feeling dread. I don't know why, we brought everyone back... Well, they brought everyone back. It's most likely a side effect of being mentally and spiritually torn apart by Destiney, but it doesn't seem like that.

"You know, we're all planning on living on the Avengers Compound... As your mother figure, and lead assassin, you are staying." She declares. I chuckle and nod.

"Yes ma'am." I look out the window at the landscape. As we get closer, I can feel the dread sinking further into my soul each mile as we get closer. Even though I know I did the right thing by bringing Natasha and whoever Gamora is, I also know I sacrificed way too much. I expected my Dragonborn blood would've been the cost, but that can't be because I can still feel the dormant magic deep down inside of me.

"(Y/n)... You didn't explain how I'm here." Natasha's statement freezes my heart and I shifted uncomfortably. "I wasn't supposed to come back, the Soul Stone sacrifice-"

I can't bear another word, so I cut her off. "Mom, it's nothing I promise. Nothing happened." I can't lie to an assassin, but I can be stubborn and she knows that.

"Well..." Her eyes turn from suspicion to relief as we get closer to the Compound. "We're here..."

Third Person POV

As the car pulled in and the Avengers waited in anticipation, only two dreaded their return. A god with a fractured past, and a woman with a broken future. Neither of them expected this, and honestly after everything they both endured... They didn't deserve this either. But that's the thing about Destiney, it doesn't matter to Her whether you're the hero or villain, or a pair of star crossed lovers. The pain will almost always never be deserved.

As Natasha was the first one to step out of the vehicle, she nearly gets tackled by Clint. "I should've broke your leg before you made the jump..." He mutters and she laughs. Banner was next and as he holds his wife in his arms, the second woman steps out of the car. As (Y/n) exits the car, Tony was the first to wrap his arms around her, she clutched him back as tears fell from her eyes.

"H-Hey kid..." He chucked as he passed her into Steves welcoming arms.

"Welcome back Trooper." Cap mumbled as he squeezed her.

"AHA! Welcome back friends!!" Thor bellows as he wraps both Natasha and (Y/n) into his arms. They laugh as he sets them down.
"The Fates have smiled apon us this day, friends." Thor was beaming. As he stepped back, another God stepped forward. His hair was pulled away from his face, and his entire right arm and shoulder was bandaged.

Then time stopped as the Raven haired God met the eyes of (Y/N). He didn't know whether to hug or kiss her, and she... She was fighting her own battles.

"(Y/N)..." That was all the God could say.

(Y/N) looked at him, and a wave of confusion and bewilderment crosses over her features. "Who are you?"
