Chapter 1 ~How it all begins~

     After we finish eating me and Colton get into an argument about who's going to pay the check and like always he wins. He sets a 20 on the table and then a 10 for tip. We get up and walk out of the diner and I unlock my car, I climb into the driver's seat and put the key in the ignition, starting the car. I roll down the windows so the car can cool down and the radio turns on again. I back out of my parking spot, and pull onto the street, I turn the radio up and sing along to the songs playing from the radio station. I turn onto my street, I hear Colton shifting his stuff around on the ground as I turn into my driveway. I take my keys out of the ignition and unbuckle my seatbelt, opening my door I turn to Colton. "I'll see you when you decide to drop by" I say and he nods getting out of the car and walking across the lawn to his house.

     I walk up to my front porch and unlock the front door, I walk into the empty house and set down my bag, I see the note on the small table next to the door and I pick it up.

                                Hey babygirl, me and your father had to go out of town

                                 For work, we will be back in 2 weeks, don't throw any parties and

                                Ask Colton if he can come and stay with you if you don't want to be

                               Alone.

     I put my keys in the bowl on the table and pull my phone out of my back pocket, I dial Colton's number and press my phone to my ear. It rings a couple times before he finally picks up, "Miss me already?" I hear his cocky voice drift through the phone "pft never, anyways, mom and dad are out of town for the next two weeks, could you possibly stay here? I don't want to be alone..." my voice trails off and I wait for his reply, I hear muffled voices on the other end and I know he is talking to his mom. After about a minute I hear him reply "mom said I could stay, I'll be there in about an hour, see you then." He says and I hang up the phone.

     I walk upstairs and into my room, I plop down on my queen sized bed and grab my laptop, after I open it, after logging onto Facebook I start writing a status 'first day of summer, what do you do?, get on omegal of course' after I post that I open my email and look through my email. I see an email from Nicole. It says she is still planning to come to Texas and I smile, after that I open Netflix and watch supernatural. I only get through one episode before Colton comes barging through my bed room door, he jumps on me and I groan in pain "Colton get your fat ass off me!!" I yell pushing him off me, he rolls off the bed and lands on the floor with a thud.

     He groans in pain and I giggle "I think you broke my ass" he said rubbing his backside, he glares at me and I only laugh harder. He scoops me up and throw me over his shoulder, walking around, putting a bounce in his step and I groan every time he bounces because all the pressure being put on my stomach.

     He walks down the stairs and I pound on his back "Colton!! Put me down!!" I yell and he chuckles, I hear the back door open and feel the breeze on my legs and the wind blowing my hair around "Put! Me! Down!" I scream and at that moment, he throws me into the pool. I kick off the bottom of the pool, once I surface I glare at him, he's laughing so hard he doesn't notice so I grab his hand and pull him in. He screams like a little girl and I laugh hard.

     We both climb out of the pool and I strip out of my wet clothes, standing there in my underwear and hang them over the chair and then I run upstairs and into my room. I step out of my underwear and throw them in the hamper and walk into the bathroom, I start the shower and step under the warm spray of the water. I wash my hair and my body, then shave my legs before stepping out, I wrap a black fluffy towel around my body and walk back into my room.

     I take a pair of cotton shorts out of my dresser as well as some black lace boy shorts and a sports bra, I slip my clothes on and walk over to my closet and pull out a baggy shirt and slip it on, I jog downstairs just in time to see Colton walk in with a box of pizza. I run over and steal it from him and run into the kitchen, I set it on the table. I walk over to the cabinets and get two glasses out and two plates, I fill the cups with ice tea and then walk over to the table setting down the plates and the cups.

     I take two pieces of pizza and start eating not waiting for Colton, I moan from the cheesy goodness of the pizza. At that moment, Colton walks in and he chuckles "is it that good?" he rolls his eyes and sits down in his chair, taking some pizza as well.

     After we finish eating I go upstairs into my room and get out my laptop, I was going to do what I always do every Friday night, I was going to get on omegal and talk with some random people, after I set my filters I start chatting.

     After about 20 minutes and seeing 10 different guys fapping I was about ready to give up, I click through and I stop on this one guy "finally someone who isn't fap happy" I say with sarcasm in my voice. I hear him chuckle and my heart beats faster, damn that was a sexy chuckle "well I'm not someone who wants to fap for random people, I'm looking for friends" he says and I smile "well it's nice to meet you" I say smiling brightly "it's nice to meet you too, I'm Ashton" he says "I'm Skylar" I say and he nods "Skylar's a pretty name but I'm going to call you sky" he says and I blush "well Ima call you ash" I say and he nods.

     I shakes his head laughing "that seems fair" he says and I nod laughing quietly. "So I see you like sleeping with sirens" I say and he nods "hell yeah, me and my girlfriend are going to see them in person in like a week" he says and I don't know why but I feel my hear drop a little "you lucky bitch" I say with a pouty face and he laughs "yeah, she's amazing, she got me the tickets for my birthday" he says and my face drops slightly but I replace it with a smile instantly "that's awesome" I say and he chuckles "yeah, she's been distant though so I'm worried" he says his face falling and I frown as well "it's going to be ok Hun, don't worry too much" I say and he nods.

     I give him a reassuring smile, "I think we are going to be best friends" I say and he nods "yeah I do too, hey I got to go but do you have a kik?" he asks and I nod. I type out my kik name and send it, in see my phone light up next to me and I pick it up, after I unlock it I pull down the notification bar and read '1 new kik with Ashton' it read and I opened it. I see his kik pop up and I confirm it's me. I log off my computer and lay down, a smile on my face.

I slowly drift to sleep with a smile on my face that night.
