Sorry for the long wait everyone. I've been having a little trouble with ideas. I want to thank the ladies on the FB academy fan fiction writers page for helping me with the dare ideas and getting my mind turning again.
Helping make dinner for 10 people reminds me of all the times I helped mum in the kitchen back on the station. Luke is browning off the mince and onion while I'm chopping vegetables and blending the peeled tomatoes with the herbs to make the sauce. Luke has already made the cheese sauce and is keeping it warm at the back of the stove.
I love cooking and knowing someone will enjoy it makes it ten times better. I take a wooden spoon and poor the vegetables into the tomato sauce. "Luke can you taste this for me please." I dip a teaspoon into the sauce and hold it out for him.
"Mmmm, that's really good. Are you ready to start layering?" As he's asking me this I can't stop watching his lips. He keeps running his tongue over them making small sounds. I find it very distracting and I didn't know if that was a good or bad thing.
As soon as we have finished cleaning up our mess we head into the lounge room where the rest of the boys are.
They are playing some video game thing. It looks to be the same black box that I saw in the trailer. Kota, Nathan, Gabriel and Victor are racing cars around a track. I sit back and watch. They are glued to the screen so much that I don't think they have noticed Luke and I enter.
Kota wins and sits back with a big grin on his face while pushing up his glasses. "Hey Sang, when did you come in?"
"About 5 minutes ago. Dinner should be ready around 7pm." I tell him.
"What are we having Aggele?" Silas asks me.
"Lasagna, garlic bread and garden salad." I say. I see a few of the boys rubbing their bellies smiling then looking either at their phones or watches. I can't help but giggle.
I'm so full. I knew I shouldn't have gone back for thirds, but it was just so good. The table is now empty of food and I can see a few of my brothers staring at their plates like they want to lick them. I have to chuckle at this. Luke and Aggele make a good team in the kitchen. Right now they are taking about cakes and even though I'm full it's making me hungry again.
"Cupcake what kind of cakes can you make without looking at a cook book." Luke asks.
"Red velvet, chocolate devil, pavlova, butter, vanilla, umm I think that's it."
"Oi trouble, what's a chocolate devil and a pavlova?" Gabe asks her, I'm glad he did because I want to know as well.
"A chocolate devil has milk chocolate and dark chocolate melted and mixed in with coffee and a pavlova is well it's really just egg whites and sugar and when it's finished cooking you put fresh cream on top with different fruits. When ever I made it with mum I used strawberries, kiwi fruit, mango and drizzled passion fruit juice over the top."
Shit now I'm really hungry.
Dinners over and we have all moved into the lounge room to play games. I don't know what games Gabriel is talking about but I'm guess I'm about to find out.
"Okay since tonight is troubles first ever sleepover were going to start off with a classic......"
"TRUTH OR DARE!" Both Gabriel and Luke yell.
Umm okay then. We are all sitting in a circle on the floor of the lounge room, with me in between Kota and Luke. Even Mr Blackbourne and Dr Sean are down here with us. I just hope I don't embarrass myself.
