What amI doing?! Taking a shower at pro hero's Shoto's house was not on my bucket list!
You digest the fact that you were crouched down naked in Todoroki's shower room while the lukewarm water rained on you.
A knock on the bathroom door made you jump. "You okay in there, (y/n)?"
On reflex, your arms flew to cover your private parts. "Y-Yeah! I'm good!"
When there was no answer, you quickly finished your shower and got dressed in one of Todoroki's shirts and a pair of basketball shorts that he set aside for you. You realised what you were wearing was much more covered than the first thing he saw you wore in the early morning.
You came out of the bathroom and were greeted by Todoroki who was leaning against the wall nearby. Was he waiting for me all this while?
"How's the shower? I'm sorry, I don't have any shampoo or soap scent for ladies."
(y/n) chuckled, rubbing the back of your neck. "Thanks for lending me your shower. Plus, even if you had those, it would be inappropriate of me if you already have a lover though, then I call it intruding." The words were stabbing you internally as it escapes your lips. The thought of him already having a girlfriend can either mean he's a cheater or he's just too carefree, and that stung your heart a bit.
However, you were immediately proven wrong. Todoroki's face hardened a bit and moved closer to you. "There is no one like that with me. You're the first and only one," he said a little firmly than necessary as if to convince you there was no such thing.
You gaped a bit at his reaction. Did I offend him or something? What did he mean by that last part?
You decide to change the topic and talk about his place. "W-Wow! Now that I've got a good look, your place is really neat and I guess you like keeping it traditionally Japanese style."
Todoroki's expression relaxed and followed along with the conversation. "It's okay. It keeps me grounded from all the hero work."
"Um," you started thoughtfully, "can I ask you a question?"
"Sure. You should have a seat while I go make us some tea," Todoroki responded as he guided you to one of his sofas. Once they settled, he gestured for you to continue.
"Well, you own an agency at such a young age. What got you to . . . where you are today?"
Todoroki didn't really expect you to ask that but looking at your harmless expression, it was a genuine question. He looked down at the tea he was making. "After graduating, I worked under Endeavor for a while."
You took a mental note that he didn't even call the former number-one hero his father.
"For a couple of years, I gained a lot of attention for various reasons. I did earn a few side incomes in other things like modelling and becoming an ambassador for certain brands," he listed. "Once I made enough to open up the agency, I knew I could finally distance myself from Endeavor's shadow."
