His intense gaze made you feel like being under the radar of a hawk. Shoto's piercing orbs watched as the medic did some final checks on you since there was some the redness around your wrists told him that struggled to get out of the restraints. and a cut on your lip from the hard fall.

You tugged on your earlobe when you were aware of how he was watching you so intensely. "Um, I'm ok, really. You should go and attend to the other victims though." 

Shoto's gaze lingered your trembling hands and noticed that you flinch whenever the medic, who happens to be a male, kept touching you to check your condition. 

"That's always Chargebolt's job." He jabbed his thumb at the scene behind him. Shoto sighed and dismissed the medic to sit next to her. He didn't miss the slight twitch from her when their shoulders touched as he went to sit next to her at the back of the ambulance.

Is she uncomfortable with me? He wondered and it made him even more curious about her. You always made him think of things he had never thought of before ever since you worked under him.

"Don't worry, (y/n). You're safe with me. You won't ever see that villain again," he assured you as his eyes made contact with yours. 

Hearing that, you visibly relaxed. You couldn't help it since you were almost taken unwillingly. Shoto was relieved when your shoulders slowly went down. Unknown to him, he has never had women wary of him, but seeing you flinching didn't please him one bit. He doesn't want you to ever be afraid; especially when it comes to him.

For a moment, you giggled which made his ears perk up. "Y'know, the ladies would be even happier to hear that from you."

He stared at you with an unreadable expression. "I only want to say it to you." His words made you blush which made something in his chest react.

Shoto's experience with women has been very bleak. He doesn't crave for it since his Plus Ultra days. Ever since he finally reconnected with his mother and was in the process of healing, he was already content with what he had.

Hence he's been called the Antisocial Pro Hero as he was entirely focusing on his career and the current people he has which were his Class A colleagues. Of course, his friends tried to set him up many times and those times have failed since those women only cared for his looks and indifference alone.

Some say that some people tend to gravitate towards emotionally unavailable people. Shoto didn't get that but with you, he wants your every attention; no matter how small. You are the first woman he found intriguing. 

After the incident and the innocence he finds in you, he feels like he's pulled to you. For some reason, he can't let you out of his sight. An example would be tonight's incident where he nearly had a murderous intent when he saw the villain mount you with his filthy hands.
