He thought of catching a quick shower before going to visit Jungkook with food. His wolf seemed to perk at the idea. Finally, the anger and frustration in his scent settled a bit. When he finally arrived at his pent house, it was to see Jungkook sitting cross-legged in front of his apartment door, holding something.

"Jungkook?" Jimin's wolf tensed for a moment, wondering what was wrong. A quick glance told him the omega was physically okay. His scent didn't give away any distress but he could tell the omega was emotional. "Sweet heart, what happened?"

Jungkook lifted his head to see him and immediately tears filled those doe-eyes.

What the hell!

Jimin's wolf was ready to go berserk as he grabbed his chin, letting out a menacing growl at the thought of someone hurting his precious omega. "Who hurt you?" he thundered. "Did someone say something? I swear I will—"

"Alpha..."

Jimin stopped, his wolf moving to pay rapt attention to their omega. "Yes." He didn't even blink, afraid he'd miss something. Jungkook looked so delicate like this, swallowed by his hoodie. The alpha wanted nothing more to take him into his arms and swaddle him, keep him tucked in his embrace forever.

The omega's bottom lip wobbled as he lifted a plush to his face. A bunny plush, brown with long, droopy ears. Worn out and old looking but still cared for. He frowned. Was this the cause of his omega's tears? Did it remind him of his father? Or was it something else? What could be wrong? But the words that came out of the omega's mouth surprised him.

"Do you recognize this? Did you buy this, alpha?" the omega's voice was soft. "Have we met before? Taehyungie hyung told me about an adorable pup you met by chance. He said you bought him a bunny plush and wouldn't stop talking about him. And you called that pup 'Cherry Blossom'."

Recognition flickered in his brain first and for a moment, the alpha was rendered speechless. That was years ago and he was a teenager.

He remembered talking Taehyung's ears off because he couldn't get enough of the pup's cuteness. He remembered how he used to wonder if the bullies came for the pup again or bothered him. He remembered lamenting that he should have gone to check on him before the vacation ended.

Shh...it's okay. I got you, Cherry Blossom. Hyung will make it better.

Hyungie hurt. He remembered a pouty pup, eye wide and round, filled with unshed tears just like now, pointing at his bruised hand. He'd gotten hurt from punching those bullies that bothered the pup.

It's alright, Cherry Blossom. Hyung is fine.

That adorable pup with big, Bambi eyes that blew at his injured hand, patching it up clumsily was Jungkook? Jungkook was the pup he saved from the bullies at the park?

Jimin stroked the bunny plush in a stunned stupor. He remembered now. It had been years and he was only thirteen then. He had gone to the same convenience store a year later, hoping to check on the cashier, who worked there and his pup but learned he had moved on and no one knew where he worked anymore.

The pup's father had hesitated when he bought that bunny plush. "Please, allow me. He's had a rough day. I hope this will make him smile."

Was this fate? Though he didn't expect anything to come out of his actions, this was still surprising.

Googie...The pup had called himself Googie then. So Jimin didn't know his full name.

"Googie," he whispered, caressing the omega's cheek. "You're that pup."

Jungkook's tears fell free and he engulfed the alpha in a bone crushing hug. "You've met me before," he said unable to believe his eyes and the turn of events. "And you gave me this. You have no idea how valuable this is to me as I grew up. It always kept me warm during cold winters and gave me comfort like a person would." Sobs raked his body. "Thank you. Thank you so much."
