The Empire of Night and Nightmares

So I have to admit to you all, I had the ending of TENAN finished when I was first posting the chapters...

When I was writing the last few chapters I hit a pretty bad writers block and just about hated everything I wrote. It felt terribly paced and I just hated how rushed everything was. There were plot holes I couldn't answer and I was just displeased with everything.

So I told myself I'd fix it...

I didn't. The most I did was write the true ending. Still, the true ending doesn't answer questions like, "How exactly did demons work?" "What happened to Ariel at the end?" "What happened to the shadows?"

If you can think of any other plot holes or unanswered questions, please let me know so I can think of fixing them when I actually get off my ass and rewrite this book.

When I saw rewrite, I literally mean rewrite; from head to toe.

The book wasn't even meant to be like this. The original idea of TENAN consisted of Mireya being trapped in her nightmare the whole time. Ciaran would be the true villain who was obsessed with her. Ciaran wasn't originally a fallen angel. He was just a demon. The betrayal trope would be so much stronger and there was a lot more manipulation from both Mireya and Ciaran.

I think the only element that truly stayed the same was Ariel's role and how Mireya died.

So yeah, a rewrite is in order...

BUT

I have other ideas in mind first.

For those who follow me on twitter know about them. I promise Josie and Ken, Najma and Min, Juniper and Malik, and Dani and Clem will come to fruition soon. Hopefully, but not exactly, in that order.
