Five

I never knew he was my godfather. I only know my godmother, who now lives in Canada.

"What? You're my godfather?" I ask him amused.

"Yeah. We moved away when you were still in diapers. I moved back a few years ago. That's why you never knew I assume."

"That's a good thing. Maybe I'll get a new hobby, or something." I say taking his advice.

I walk out of the kitchen as Colton talks to Kinsley more. He's a good distraction for her, he's also a good dad, I've seen. He makes sure that we have everything. Even if Aron doesn't appreciate his dad's efforts with him, Kinsley and I definitely do.

Once I got to my room I flopped onto my bed and decided to just listen to a bit of music. I put my headphones in and hit shuffle on my playlist.

I've got a...wide range of artists I like, everything from Lana del rey to nirvana. But I always lean more towards music similar to Lana del rey.

I couldn't stop thinking about today with miss Fairbourne. She's different in front of the class than she is when she's doing one-on-one's or two-on-one's. She's nicer and doesn't seem so grumpy.

I did both the papers she made us write and with a little bit of her help, i actually was able to get the hang of writing from my opinion.

But the one thing that really played in my head over and over, was how close she was to me, she smelt like flowers. It was a calm and sensitive scent that somehow felt like a hug. Her eyes are a like a jade green from afar but up close, they're an emerald green and enchanting. So damn enchanting. Her hands are cold but somehow warm at the same time.

Something about the small interaction of today makes me want to repeat it all over again tomorrow.

I'm interrupted from my thoughts when I get a text from Zoë.

Hey, I didn't seen you after school. I know detention ends the same time as soccer practice. You okay?

Yeah I'm all okay. I just stayed back a little more bc miss Fairbourne helped me with more of the English.

I'd be caught dead. I mean she's really pretty. And surprisingly kind. My dad was so proud I got a perfect score. She's sweeter than she is in class anyways.
