"WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED TO YOU?" ESME asked Athena. She had been in the living room with the rest of the Cullens when there was a knock at the door and when she opened it she saw Athena covered head to toe in mud
"I was chasing Victoria across the boarder and Embry" Athena grumbled the young wolfs name and she barely registered the others making their way to the door to see what was happening "Jumped trying to reach for Victoria at the same time as me so we ended up dropping to the floor. He ruined my dress" she mumbled looking down at her ruined outfit
"Poor girl" Esme cooed as she pulled Athena in through the door "You shouldn't have been wearing it whilst nomad hunting though"
"I know but it's what I was wearing when Seth picked up on the scent. It was funny really. He called us screaming that his nose was burning from bleach. He didn't even realise he was smelling a vampire" Athena giggled as Emmett glared at the mud on the floor
"Esme you would never let me trail mud in the house" Athena mocking smiled at the man
"She could be hurt" Esme justified making Emmett roll his eyes and Athena to smile wider knowing that was just an excuse and that Esme had a soft spot for her. "Edward take her upstairs and get her clean"
