Chapter 8

"WATCH ME" BELLA WHISPERED AS SHE IGNORED HER sister and unzipped her cardigan before discarding it on the floor and then her shoes were next
"You won't stay with me any other way"

"Bella please" Athena cried and just as she went to rush Bella back she jumped off the cliff
"Bella!" The smaller Swan froze for a moment, not knowing what do to before she jumped in too, the world slowly moving around her as she fell but as soon as her body hit the water it sped up again, the water clashing against her body like it was being pierced by millions of needles

She immediately looked around, her head rising to the surface just as Bella's did and the older girl had a giant smile on her face as she brushed her wet hair out of her eyes

She looked happy, but once Athena glanced behind she could see a giant wave heading for them

"Bella!" Athena shouted and she quickly turned seeing what she did, Thea quickly stuck out her hand and watched as Bella's body was pushed through the water, so far, yet she could see her rolling onto the sand just as the wave crashed into her

She was sent under the water, not having enough time to hold her breath as she waved her arms around trying to find her way to the top but once she did she was sent back under again by another wave

Her limbs ached as her body finally raised to the top of the water, her back to the cliff rocks as she looked ahead and tried to catch her breath. She couldn't physically move her body anymore, but she could see a brush of red and when she realised It was Victoria she didn't know what to do

But she didn't have a chance to as the current pushed her head back, so it hit the rocks behind her

"Help me get this off her!" Embry shouted to Jacob who had checked on Bella, she had rolled up on the shore completely unharmed and Jacob had checked on her whilst Embry had jumped in to rescue Athena

Jacob scrambled up and helped get the sweatshirt she was wearing off her body which left her in a tank top and that's when Embry started the compressions

His palm pressed on her chest, continuously and the other two watched as Embry tried but couldn't get Athena to wake up

"Oh my gosh" Bella cried, her hand gripping onto Jacob's arm. She hated how peaceful her sister looked then. She hadn't seen her that way in months, not even when she slept. She finally saw the bruises on her sister, the ones her father had cried about for the past few weeks, whether it was with Athena or not but Bella hadn't seen them for herself and now she did she felt sick.

"Athena, stay with me here" his compressions continued but she stayed motionless
"This isn't working! Athena!" Embry shouted out, his compressions continuing until her eyes snapped open, her head tilting to the side as she coughed and spluttered out water
