ATHENA COULD SEE BELLA'S SIDE GLANCES AS SHE lead her up in the forest somewhere her and Caleb used to visit before he had left. Bella wanted to show her this place, told how special it was and Athena let her, but she's just been looking at her constantly as they walked, like she was trying to figure something out
"You know.. you know I love you right?" Bella's words confuses Athena for a moment and she feels her movements stop before she starts up again. Her body was killing her. Her healing wasn't kicking in and hadn't been for over a month now since she was way too malnourished for it to work so she had been sporting Max's bruises for a long time, even longer than a human.
"Of course I know that Bell"
"I know i've not been doing too good. But you can always come to me. I know we had that thing about you being a witch and honeslty..." she paused for a minute and Athena could tell she was contemplating on continuing her sentence "I was jealous of you. When we grew up I knew how amazing you was and no one else did. I figured if everyone knew that too, you'd leave me behind. So I called you horrible things to keep you with me. I get it was so stupid and i'm so sorry but I love you. I've grown and i'll never be that person again. I just want to be someone you can trust"
"I trust you Bella, and i love you too" Athena frowned. She didn't understand where any of this was coming from. Of course she knew Bella loved her, even after their differences she was still her sister after all
"Then are you lying to me? Why are you lying to everyone?" Thea was stunned to silence but thankfully and just on time they got to the clearing. But it wasn't how Bella described it. All the flowers she spoke about were damaged and the entire area was yellow and dead.
She took it hard as she spun around in shock, her breathing growing heavy before she dropped to her knees, her hands grabbing at what used to be grass and flowers
"It's gone, it's all gone"
"Bella" Athena quickly said as she looked up. And there stood Laurent at the end of the clearing. Bella heard her alarmed voice and looked up too, coming to a stand as she slowly inched closer to her sister
