Imagine #9: Spring Break

6.8K 52 5

Imagine it's finally spring break. You've been waiting a long time for this break from school. It meant you were closer to summer and not to mention, it was the only time that you and Hunter actually got to spend time together.

You do a little spring cleaning. There's isn't much to clean because you're OCD about having a clean house and Hunter's a germaphobe, and well you get the point. It's easy to keep the house clean.

You decide to turn on the radio and what do you hear? Hunter Hayes and his thirtieth number one single.

"His dream of thirty number one singles finally came true." You say to yourself. You made a mental note to check that off of the bucket list. You're proud of your boyfriend. He really has accomplished a lot of things and you're pretty thankful that you able to support him as much as his fans.

You laugh at the fact that it's his favorite song from the album, the one with 'Mustang' in the title. You sing along since it's a very upbeat song. You eventually find yourself dancing.

"That was Hunter Hayes with his thirtieth number one single. We have him on the phone right now. Hello, Hunter."

There's a brief pause and that's when you hear his voice. "Good morning, Joe. How are you doing?"

"Great, and yourself?"

"Pretty good, pretty good. I've got my coffee and a wonderful girlfriend waiting for me at home."

"I guess you're all set, aren't you?" The radio guy named Joe says and laughs. "So how about your thirtieth number one single?"

"Wow, that has a nice ring to it. Can you say that one more time?"

"Sure! Thirtieth number one single." Joe said stressing it out with a smile. You knew Hunter had a huge grin on his face.

"It's incredible. I still can't believe that we've made it this far an--"

"We? Who's we?" Joe asks, cutting Hunter off. Hunter laughs. You realize that you've missed his laughter and you were hoping to see him soon.

"Why, the band and I, of course. The record company and my family, too."

"But not your girlfriend." Joe says hoping to get some gossip out of Hunter.

"My girlfriend is part of my family. I love her more than anything."

"More than music?"

"She's one of the main reasons I write music." He said. He knew how to answer questions especially like these. He was smart. He wasn't going to let anyone bash you, especially not you.

It was never a direct answer. This way, the press wouldn't switch up what he had said, but he always made sure to tell you that he loved you more than music.

"Rignt..." Joe says not too happy about the answer Hunter gave him. He was hoping to get gossip and he knew he wasn't going to get it. "So you've been touring with Keith lately."

"Oh yes! Keith is an awesome guy. It's so cool to have him opening for me."

"Wanna tell us anything about the tour?"

"Well, Keith and I tend to jam out a lot on stage with the band. I can't really say much about the tour, it'll ruin the surprise. This is just one of those tours where you have to be there."

"So, if there are any Hunter Hayes fans listening, stay tuned to find out how to win some front row tickets to his next show." Joe says and you're more than positive that there are fans screaming about how they'll have a chance to meet Hunter. "So this is your day off, how do you plan on spending it?"

"I can't say. My girlfriend could be listening and I don't wanna ruin what I have planned."

"I'm supposing you're almost at your destination?"

"Why yes sir, I am."

"I'm so glad that you could have this interview with us."

"Well, thank you for letting be interviewed?" He asks laughing. "I'll talk to y'all later. Bye, Joe."

"Before you go, is there anything you want to say?"

"Yes. (Y/n), if you're forgot to bring in the package you left outside." You cut off the radio knowing the interview is done. Package? You never saw a package outside?

You walk outside onto the patio. There's a note taped onto the table.

'You left a package in the garage. You should probably go get it' The note reads. You go to the garage to find the package not thinking about why the note was on the table.

"Package?" You say out loud.

"Yes, package." You spin around to find yourself in Hunter's arms. "Hey, beautiful."

"Hey, handsome with your thirtieth number one single! I'm so proud of you!" You say excitedly. He laughs and you laugh with him.

"Actually, I came to pick up a big package."

"Yes. It's in my arms. I have to keep it with me on the road this week." This week? What was he was talking about? You think. "You're coming with me on tour."

"Me? As in (y/n) on Hunter Hayes' your bus with Matt, Sam, Steve and Devo?" He nodded eagerly. He was taking you on tour for spring break, how could you resist? A whole week with the boys and Hunter!

"Yes, yes! I'll go!"

"Well, then what are you waiting for! Pack whatever you need and let's go!" He says as rush towards the house and begin to pack your things.

"I'm going on tour with the boys." You say with a grin on your face. "I'm going on tour with my boys."
