That Time in College

Lets skip school!

//Noah's POV//

As I woke up from the breeze coming out of Cody's window I realized that I was late for class. "Fuck! CODY!!" I yelled shaking him. "What?" He asked with one eye opened barely. "It's like 1:00 am!" "Meh.." "Cody it's my second day here! I can't just be absent!" "Yes you can, just go back to sleep.." He groaned. "Cody you know what I mean!" I replied. But Cody just had to roll over on top of me! "Justttt goooo backk too sleepppp!!" He said. "Cody.. get off!!" "No! Not until you go back to sleep!" "Fine.." I finally gave in. "You betterr." He said turning back to his side.

"Can't believe that I'm skipping my classes for this.." "Oh shush Noah." "Cody we've been sleeping all day!" "Well I'm tired!" He yelled. "Fine but only today! And I'm saying I was sick today!" "Okay?" Cody replied sounding a bit confused. "Just.. Ugh go back to sleep.." I said. "Okay! Fine by me!" Cody said as he dozed off. Now I was left alone with only my thoughts. I can't fall back asleep.

What to do? Maybe I could get up..? I tried to get up without Cody noticing and snuck a pillow in my place.. I walk around his dorm and see a bunch of expensive things. Where did he get the money to afford this?! I mean.. A whole shelf of golden trophies?! What in the world.. Huh? I found a note. What is this..? It read:

 Dear Cody,

     If you're reading this it's already too late... I sent you money for college.. when you get home I won't be there.. Sorry Cody..

What...?  Did Cody's Mom die..? I have to ask Cody about this. But.. not right now. He looked cute when he's sleeping. Not being a stalker! I walked over to the bed and lightly tapped Cody. "Cody.." "Mhh?" "Can you please wake up?" "Nhh!" He said and I believed to be a no. "Cody!!" I yelled shaking him aggressively. "Whatt! I'm uppp." He groaned. "I'm bored do you have any games we can play?" "Mario Kart?" "Sure I guess." "Okay! Give me a second!" He yelled while going to the bathroom with his clothes. Hmm. Maybe I should turn on the uhh... never mind...

His room is so untidy.. It's annoying me. I hate messy rooms. I should clean it up while he's taking a shower! I walked over to the mess and pulled some shoes out of it. I set them neatly next to the door. I also found a picture of us when we were little. Cody was so cute back then! And he still is! I put the picture and the table beside the bed. And I put all the clothes in the laundry basket.

He also had a bunch of notebooks with drawings in them.. His drawings were amazing! Most of them looked like him and me. I set the notebooks in the corner. I heard the water turn off and all there was left to pick up was a piece of paper in the corner. Hm.. It looked like a note so of course I had to read it.

Dear Noah,

       Hi Noah! I know it's been a while since we've seen each other.  I miss you! Sometimes I think of you. I wish I were able to see you. But ever since I got into this college my mom refused for me to go home. I know it's only been a year. But that's a long time being away from you.. I love you! ❤️

When was this made..? I slipped it into my backpack and heard Cody coming out the bathroom. "Hey Cody!" He was soaking wet. "You just saw me a second ago.." He mumbled. "Yeah but a second is a long time." I replied back. He looked at the now clean spot of his dorm. "Did you do this? Or did the cleaners get better?" "I did Cody." "Wow, Thanks!" He said hugging me. "I missed you for that year.."

//Cody's POV//

As I hugged Noah I noticed that there was a paper in his bag. It was like 2:00 so class was over and I don't think he had that in there last time I saw him. I let go of the hug. And walked over to his backpack. I took the paper out and noticed it was the note I wrote him Sunday..! Where did he find this? I thought I threw it away..! Omg... Did he read it..? "Cody.??" "... did you read it.." "Read what?" "The note." "Well.. It was just sitting next to the trash can.. so I did read it.." "All?" "Yeah.."

"Fuck." "What's so wrong it's just a note..!" It's wrong because he wasn't supposed to be here. "Why did you put it in your backpack..?" "Sorry Cody.... Can we just play Mario Kart..?"

I got up from the floor and walked out the dorm. I asked permission to leave the college and went to the library. It was Noah's favorite place. He wouldn't expect me to be here. I wasn't mad, but I wasn't disappointed either. I just needed a break from this drama. He went through my things without asking but he was cleaning my dorm. But then he put something of mine in his bag. But I made it for him. I can't blame him.

I went to the nearest shelf and got Noah's favorite series, Heartstopper. The books are really nice. I went to the checkout and asked if I could have the books. "That'll be 20 dollars sir!" I pulled my credit card out of my pocket and gave it to her. "Here you go sure!" She said giving me back the card. "Thank you!" I took the books and put them in my backpack. Then I went to the gym.

NOAH <3: where r u Cody..?

Cody 🎸: The gym.

NOAH: Come back Pls?

Cody 🎸: okay

I got up from the seat I sat in, picked up my backpack, and left the gym. I walked back to the college and stood outside my dorm. I forgot my keys inside and it's always locked from the outside. "Noah.. Can you open the door?" "Coming..!" I heard him yell. When he opened the door I could tell he had been crying.

Noah, Crying, they don't mix. The only time I've seen him cry was when his dog ran away when he was 5. But that was just one tear. I could see he cried a lot more by the way his faces looked right now. "Cody.." Noah mumbled. I hugged him. "It was only a quarter of an hour Noah.." "I love you Cody.." He said, smiling. "I love you too, Noah."
