Adhvik's pov
I reached the restaurant where dad booked a table for us. It is her favorite restaurant. We used to come here often. Stop it, Adhvik! Don't think about her.
I got down from my car when i saw orange with her friend Riddhima. She doesn't look upset at all. I thought giving her the first invitation card was too harsh, but she doesn't care! She never did... maybe because i wasn't worth it!
Flashback
[2 years ago]
"We shouldn't meet like this. There's already a lot of rumors about us." Orange said pulling me into a cabin so no one can see us.
"We are going to tell our families soon. Maybe we can do it right now." I said caressing her cheeks.
"Or not." Orange said hesitantly avoiding eye contact.
"But why i mean the sooner the better." I said and she looked at me with a lot of emotions in her eyes, many of which i failed to point out.
"I am sorry!" Orange said out of the blue, her voice trembling.
"Sorry!?" I frowned not getting why she is apologizing out of nowhere.
"I can't hurt my dad!" Orange said and something inside me broke. Oh! It's just my heart. I know what's coming next but a part of me still hopes it's not what i am thinking.
"But we love each other." I said, my voice almost cracked.
"I do, but.... my dad." She said. Her dad! She will never hurt her dad, but what about me?
"And you knew it beforehand that we have to fight our parents for us! And if you were not willing to fight, then why! Just why did you said all those things? Made all those promises? Showed me dreams? Just to.... break my heart?." I yelled as a tear escaped my eyes.
"I tried." She said, her voice cracking.
"Look, Orange, your dad loves you, and he will definitely understand your feelings." I said i a calm tone when i am panicking badly. I can't afford to loose her. Not now! Not ever!
"I know." She said, i can see how blank her eyes are right at this moment as if there is no emotion left in her. She is hurting herself badly due to all this but why.... or maybe i am delusional!
"Then?" I asked, my voice almost inaudible. I know whatever she says next is going to break my heart even more but i am an idiot.
"Then? Adhu.... i....i can't... it's just i tried, but...." She said.
