The salty tang of the sea grew stronger as Sanji descended to the lower part of the island, where the vibrant Fish Market was in full swing. The sound of seagulls squawking above mingled with the lively chatter of merchants and customers. Stalls stretched as far as the eye could see, each one a colorful display of the ocean's bounty. The market's heart pulsed with energy, a rhythmic ebb and flow as buyers bartered and sellers boasted about their catches.

"Market, huh?"

Sanji's eyes gleamed as he approached a particularly impressive stall showcasing an array of fish species. Massive tuna, their silvery scales glinting in the sunlight, were propped up on beds of crushed ice. Nearby, a pile of crimson snapper lay in a neat arrangement, their bright hues as vivid as fresh flowers. Barrels of shrimp and prawns sat to one side, their shells glistening with seawater, while a basket of spiny lobsters perched prominently at the front.

"Loguetowns market is incredible! They have everything a great chef could possibly want!" Sanji murmured, lighting a cigarette and taking a long drag as he surveyed the spread. He'd cooked with plenty of fine ingredients in his time, but there was something magical about seeing the day's catch, still brimming with life and freshness. "These are superb..."

"You've a good eye, young man!" the stall owner called out, a burly fisherman with a wide-brimmed hat and a toothy grin. "Your looking at some coastal fish, we just caught early this morning."

Sanji stepped closer, crouching down to examine a tray of vibrant sardines. Their streamlined bodies shone with an iridescent sheen, and he found himself momentarily stunned. He picked one up, turning it over in his hands, disbelief crossing his face. "These are coastal fish," he murmured, the words more a thought than a statement. "They certainly are firm and fresh, are you sure they were caught in the east blue? I've never seen them before, what kind of fish did you say they were?" The sheer impossibility of such a pristine catch set his mind spinning, challenging everything he knew about the region's marine life.

The fisherman chuckled. "Ah, those are from the west blue. They're rare around these parts, but we get them because of the crossing ocean currents. They bring in fish from all the seas. You know your fish, don't you?"

Sanji smirked, blowing a plume of smoke. "You could say that."

After a bit more talking to the fisherman— was suddenly interrupted by a loud commotion near one of the boats docked at the market's edge. Intrigued, he pushed through the growing crowd to see what was causing the stir.

An enormous blue-fin elephant tuna was being hoisted from the deck of a fishing vessel, its sheer size dwarfing even the burliest of the fishermen. The creature's glistening scales shimmered under the sunlight, a mesmerizing blend of blues and silvers. Excited chatter buzzed around him, with people marveling at the catch.

Sanji's eyes widened in awe as he approached. "That's an elephant blue-fin tuna," he muttered, almost reverently. "I can't believe they caught one here in the East Blue."

The fisherman who had caught the magnificent creature wiped sweat from his brow, grinning proudly. "A beauty, ain't it? Biggest one we've hauled in years! But don't get any ideas—it's the prize for this year's annual East Blue Cooking Contest."

Sanji's cigarette nearly fell from his lips. "Cooking contest? You're telling me this masterpiece is just going to be a prize?"

"That's right," the fisherman said, crossing his arms. "Only the best chef gets to claim it. The annual Cooking Championship will be  starting a little later today. So if you want to try your hand at winning it, the sign up sheet is over there!"
