Comet

He pulled me close before in a blink of an eye we were somewhere new. I staggered back and looked around in shock unsure how how we moved without moving. We were in a forest near a hillside. It was still dark, but it felt even darker with the trees around us covering the moonlight and starlight.

Thinking back on it... why do I know all of these things? Names, and objects, are all so unfamiliar to me, and yet, I know their names. I understand them. It's... an odd feeling.

"I teleported us over, it's where you move from one place to another simultaneously." He explained to me before taking my hand and guiding me through the forest to the hillside that seemed more like a mountain the closer we got to it. I could see the shape of a door inside the mountain, as well as a balcony garden on top.

Origin went straight to the door and opened it for me. I stepped inside but not farther than a few steps as I looked at the spacious home. The shelves were filled with mysterious objects and paintings hung on the wall. This was a hallway and to the left a room with tables and couches. On the right a staircase leading upstairs. For as far as I could see into the hallways I saw a few other doors going deeper into the mountain. Origin scoots past me and took off his shoes. I looked down and realized I didn't have shoes on myself, but felt quite comfortable.

"This is my home. I live here and rest here... do you know what a home is?" He asked me looking over me still curious. I nodded. There was a lot I knew about things when I looked at them.

"So you are a lot like me and my creations possibly... or you were already created and have no memories..." He questioned and went into the room on the left. I followed meekly behind. The room was covered in tapestries that covered some lanterns. Letting the orange light glow in different colors. A fire seemed to be infinitely lit by strange red stone on the fireplace.

He sat down on a light blue couch and patted his hand next to him. I sat down next to him confused and let my eyes continue to wander in the colorful room. That is until he started speaking to me again.

"Can I ask you a few questions?" He looked at me his blue glowing eyes warmed me with comfort and safety. I nodded in agreement before he began questioning me.

"Well... what's your name?" He asks me. I shrugged. I don't think the thing those beings told me was my name. Just what I am. A Code Jumper. Whatever that means. Origin pauses thinking back.

"Do you remember anything before meeting me?" He had to keep his questions short yes and no answers. I can't communicate the same way he can. I nodded.

"How much do-... Okay, do you know where you were before this?" He changed his question. I nodded.

"I wish I could ask where it was... was it your home?"  I thought back to what was not too long ago. The grey place with the two beings... It didn't feel like a home. So I shook my head. He gets up and looks over to the fire for a moment before looking back at me.

"Are you old... or have you just been created." I nodded to the second statement. That felt right. Created... I was just created. He glanced over at me and gave me a soft smile.

"Welcome to the Steve realm. I hope you feel welcomed here... Miss." he pauses for a second then sits down next to me again. He lays back on the couch with a deep sigh while I stay upright and stiff.

"You need a name at least... but it can't be a Steve name... you aren't a Steve." I nodded to his statement. A name would be nice...

"Well... you fell out of the sky at night... so maybe something tied to that?" He looks at me closely. He still glancing at my eyes though... do they glow like his?
