The manager stared at Seungcheol with a mix of emotions swirling in his eyes, a combination of concern and understanding evident in his gaze.

"Will you regret it in the future?" he asked, his voice soft but firm.

"Regret what?" Seungcheol replied, his own voice steady and unwavering.

"Choosing your family over your career," the manager clarified, his tone gentle yet probing.

"Never, sir," Seungcheol responded confidently, clasping his hands together in a show of determination. The manager nodded in response, a sense of respect shining in his eyes.

"Okay then! We will keep quiet about this matter until the media themselves about it, and until then, continue with your daily schedules, Seungcheol," the manager decided, his voice firm and decisive.

"But sir--" Seungcheol started to protest, but the manager cut him off with a stern look.

"You can leave, Mr. Choi," the manager's voice was final, leaving no room for further argument.

Seungcheol's footsteps echoed softly against the pavement as he made his way home, the anticipation building within him. The weight of the day's responsibilities seemed to dissipate with each passing moment, replaced by a sense of contentment and joy.

As he turned the corner, a familiar sight greeted him, instantly melting away any remnants of weariness. There, in the cozy living room, Jeonghan and Hanuel sat cross-legged on the floor, engrossed in a lively game of board games. The room was bathed in a warm, golden glow, courtesy of the soft light emanating from the nearby table lamp.

The air was filled with the gentle sound of laughter and the occasional clatter of game pieces, creating a symphony of happiness that resonated deep within Seungcheol's heart.

Jeonghan's eyes sparkled with mischief as he playfully strategized his next move, his slender fingers delicately hovering over the game board. Hanuel, with his infectious smile and twinkling eyes, mirrored Jeonghan's enthusiasm, his excitement palpable in the way he leaned forward, eagerly awaiting his turn.

Their laughter, like a sweet melody, filled the room, intertwining with the warmth that radiated from their beings. It was a sight that Seungcheol cherished, a reminder of the love and connection that bound them together. As he stood there, silently observing the scene before him, a wave of gratitude washed over him, flooding his soul with a profound sense of appreciation for the simple yet profound joys that life had to offer.

Seungcheol will not trade this for anything else. Never.

"Hello, my love"

Jeonghan, with his soft lips and warm smile, approached Seungcheol, their love radiating from every pore. The air seemed to shimmer with their affection as they locked eyes, a silent understanding passing between them. "Hey baby" Seungcheol's heart swelled with contentment, knowing that he had chosen the right path by placing his family above all else.

"Freshen up and I'll serve you dinner"

As Jeonghan gracefully disappeared into the kitchen, Seungcheol's attention shifted to his precious son, Hanuel. The room seemed to brighten as the little boy's wide, innocent eyes met his father's gaze. Hanuel's tiny arms reached out, as if yearning to be held, and Seungcheol couldn't resist the overwhelming surge of love that washed over him.

Seungcheol's strong arms enveloped Hanuel, cradling him with a tenderness that only a father could possess. The weight of his son against his chest brought a sense of completeness, as if all the pieces of his life had fallen into place. The warmth of Hanuel's body against his own, the softness of his son's skin against his fingertips, all served as a reminder of the immense joy that fatherhood had brought him.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still as Seungcheol marveled at the miracle of life he held in his arms. He could feel the steady rhythm of Hanuel's heartbeat against his chest, a steady reminder of the bond they shared. The room seemed to be filled with an ethereal glow, as if the love between father and son had created its own magical aura.

Seungcheol pressed a gentle kiss to Hanuel's forehead, his lips lingering for a moment to savor the sweetness of the connection. He whispered words of love and adoration, his voice a soft melody that only Hanuel could hear. The love he felt for his son was immeasurable, a force that could move mountains and conquer any obstacle.

As Seungcheol held Hanuel close, he couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the love that filled his life, for the family that he had built with Jeonghan, and for the joy that Hanuel brought into their world. In that embrace, Seungcheol knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be - surrounded by love, warmth, and the boundless happiness that only a family could bring.

"Daddy!" Hanuel cheered, his face lighting up with happiness as he nestled into Seungcheol's embrace.

"Hi, my baby," Seungcheol murmured, pressing a kiss to Hanuel's forehead and reveling in the warmth of his son's presence.

Surrounded by love and warmth, Seungcheol couldn't help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. He had chosen his family over his career, and he knew without a doubt that it was the best decision he had ever made.

"I missed you, Daddy," Hanuel exclaimed, his small hands clutching onto Seungcheol's shirt as if afraid to let go.

"Really? How much did you miss me?" Seungcheol teased, a smile playing on his lips as he gazed down at his son.

"This much!" Hanuel declared, spreading his arms wide to demonstrate the extent of his love.

Seungcheol was completely engrossed in the moment, his heart overflowing with love and appreciation for the deep bond he shared with his son. The simple joys of family life enveloped him, filling his soul with warmth and contentment. However, his peaceful reverie was abruptly shattered by the familiar chime of a text message. It was from his brother, Seungkwan, extending a warm invitation for dinner at his place.

"Hannie!" Seungcheol's voice rang out, carrying a mix of excitement and surprise as he called for his boyfriend. Jeonghan emerged from the bustling kitchen, his face adorned with a curious expression. "Seungkwan has invited us over for dinner," Seungcheol announced, his voice filled with anticipation.

Jeonghan's eyes widened in surprise, his mind racing to comprehend the sudden invitation. "Right now?" he asked, his voice laced with a hint of disbelief.

"Yes, let's go," Seungcheol replied decisively, his eagerness evident in his tone. He swiftly made his way towards the door, cradling their precious son, Hanuel, in his arms. "Be ready," he called out to Jeonghan, a playful glint in his eyes. "I'll pick you up in 10 minutes."

Before leaving, Seungcheol couldn't resist stealing a tender moment with Jeonghan. He leaned in, pressing a quick yet affectionate kiss against his lover's lips, a silent reassurance of their love and unity. With a gentle smile, he turned and headed towards his apartment, his heart brimming with excitement for the upcoming family gathering.

---this is what he wants, him and his family, and Seungcheol will fight for it.
