"Wow little witch, I really didn't think you'd join us" Jared laughed as he threw his arm over Athena's shoulder, successfully weighing her down as they all walked from Sam's truck to his house

"Hmh, well I didn't really have a choice" at the words the boys laughed and from behind her. She could hear Jared and Paul high five each other making her scoff

"Well Charlie told us you haven't been doing anything since the Cullens left and we wanted to make sure you're okay little witch" She softly smiled back and stepped through Emily's already open front door immediately smelling the baking that has been going on

"Athena" Emily smiled once she saw her walk into the house. She immediately dropped what she was doing and made her way over to the girl she felt like she hasn't seen in forever

"Hey em" She returned the hug weakly before she pulled away
"How have you been?"

"Good. Feeding the boys as usual, losing my head as usual" she let out a laugh as their heads snapped over to her in hurt

"We just came here for a quick bite before we head over to the beach" Paul stated as he walked over to the muffins. He threw one over to Jared before taking 2 and walking back over

"Be good boys!" Shouting their 'yeah' back the pack left the house and Paul handed one of the blueberry muffins to Athena which she shook her head at

"No? These are you favourite"

"I know, i'm just not hungry right now" thankfully like Emily, Paul didn't comment on anything and instead wrapped an arm around her shoulders, using his spare one to eat

They all laid back on the blankets that had been laid out on the sand after coming out of the freezing water. Another perk of being a witch was not being affected by the cold. Though that had always been the case for Athena, especially in Arizona which was the worst. Everyone always complained about the heat but it was almost 10x worse for Athena, and when she came to forks and could wear a dress when everyone else was shivering it was the same thing
