Claires POV

I woke up feeling like I was on fire, and it was painful. I threw off my covers and ran to the bathroom turning on the cold water.

I Instantly got in wanting this to stop, it was Like someone dropped me in hell and left me there to perish.

As the tub filled up the burning got worse. I ran out it hurt to run though, I fell on the floor in my room and screamed.

"HELP! P-PLEASE SOMEONE!" I sobbed into my floor wanting this to be over. I started to black out when I seen my door fly open.

A crowd of people came in my room, but no alpha. The last thing I seen before I totally gave up was a needle being injected into my arm.

Waking up in an all white room chained to a bed is something I didn't intend on happening. Guessing I'm in a hospital?

The door of room opened revealing a lady in a nurse outfit. " I see your up finally." She said with a smile.

"Um...how long have I been out?" I asked. She looked at her clip board, "about, two weeks" she replied.

I blinked in shock, " but how and why?" She looked at her clip board again. "Well first off your in heat, and you were out so long because of wearing your body out to the point it shut down for a bit, and because your older getting heat it will be worse than an average girl or boy in heat. That is unless you are mate" I couldn't believe I was in heat, at the worse possible time too.

"So why am I chained to a bed again?" She chuckled. "Well when your going through heat, this also means your willing to be involved in sexual activities with any unmated male"

I nodded my head in understandment. "So when will it happen again" I asked. "Tonight" she sat there staring into place before she got up and left.

Right after she left Cain walked in. He stayed a good distance away from the bed. "How are you feeling" he said emotionless.

"Sore...and hot" I replied. "Well your gonna have to stay in here utilizing we can find your mate and get-" I cut in.

"He is dead so there's no use in trying" I said in a gloom. He looked a little nervous? "Are you one hundred percent positive?" I fused my eyebrows together.

"Whyyy" I said making my 'Y' stretch out. "Umm....no reason" he said putting his hands in his pockets.

To change the subject I went back to my current problem. "So um...how long is this heat supposed to last?" He looked a little uncomfortable. "Until you've been mated, and marked"

I didn't know what to say, I mean I was supposed to mated to Jace but he rejected me. This really was an eye opener to see that I really an alone.

I won't have a mate, pups and I'll just be....alone. I felt a tear escape my eye, I couldn't wipe it because of the chains.

I felt a warm hand wipe it away softly, I looked up to see Cain. His eyes full of guilt and sympathy, but the moment of us looking deep inside each others eyes was short lived.

He broke eye contact and said " I should go...pack business, and don't wait up for me to come back..your smells to strong to stick around and be sane"

I may not have known what he was talking about but I needed to. "But-" before I could say anything he stormed out.
