Chapter 34

Everett's POV

I leaned against my car as I waited for Alexandra outside the school doors. My eyes were moving from student to student as I only looked for that one girl that has my fucking heart.

She holds it in her hands without even knowing it.

The crowded parking lot makes it a lot harder to spot the short girl, but once I caught sight of her walking towards me with that bright smile on her face, all the air got knocked out of my chest at just the sight of that dimpled smile.

Her nose was a little red from the cold air and for a second, I wondered if she was warm enough in the schools uniform that does a shitty job in keeping her warm.

"Hi." she breathed and stopped inches away from me, craning her neck to look up and my arms instantly went around her waist as I pulled her closer where she wrapped her arms around me.

"Aw. Someone missed me." she joked, her fingers softly combing through my hair and god, it felt so fucking good.

Her gentle touch overall just feels as if I was sent to heaven.

"Always." I mumbled from her neck, hearing her cute little giggles that makes my heart feel warm, "I'm taking you somewhere." I said to her, releasing the both of us from the warmth but I never removed my hands that were placed on her hips as I slipped it under the jacket she was wearing.

Her cheeks turned pink at the action and I continued to use my thumb to caress her skin through the schools shirt, wishing I could feel her soft skin under the tips of my fingers instead, "Where are we going?" her eyes glowed in excitement while two little dimples appeared on her cheeks.

The sight of her dimples has my lips twitching upwards— those rare dimpled smile that only appears when she smiles so bright or when she laughs too hard.

Moving away to open the passenger side door for her, I smirked, "You'll see."

A pout formed on her beautiful face and all I wanted to do was fucking kiss her.

I got in on the drivers side of the car, noticing how her hands were slightly shivering from the cold where I grabbed my jacket from the backseat and handed it to her, "Wear it."

"This is princess treatment." she giggled again while putting on the jacket that looked huge on her small figure, but I think she looks absolutely adorable.

And of fucking course she says it's princess treatment. I'd give her all the princess treatment in the world.

A princess like her deserves it.

"Only for you." I said and drove out of the schools parking lot, happy to be out of this shit hole.

"Everett?" her sweet voice called and I moved my eyes away from the road to look at her for a split second, "Hm?" I mumbled.

"Where are we going?" she urged and I rolled my eyes at her level of impatience with a smile on my face, "A little impatient, aren't you?"

"It's called curiosity." she mumbled, her body twisted to the other side as she looked out the window— as if the sight of the road was mesmerizing for her, "You could be kidnapping me and I wouldn't even know!" she jerked her body to face towards me with a gasp, a hint of playfulness present in her eyes.

"I would've kidnapped you a long time ago then." I chuckled.

"True. Where are we going?" she asked again.

"Be patient, sweetheart."

She huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, "No fair." she mumbled.

Fuck. She's adorable.
