The detective could see the distress in Lyra and Cyra's faces and knew that they needed support during this difficult time. "I know this may sound sudden, but if you need a place to stay, my wife and I would be happy to have you," he said, offering them a warm smile.

Lyra and Cyra were taken aback by the detective's offer, but they could see the sincerity in his eyes. They knew that they couldn't stay in their family home alone, and the thought of living with someone they trusted was comforting.

"Are you sure?" Lyra asked, her voice still shaking.

The detective nodded. "Absolutely. We have plenty of room, and we would be happy to have you. You don't have to worry about anything."

Lyra and Cyra exchanged a look, feeling a sense of relief wash over them. They knew that they couldn't do this alone, and the thought of having someone to lean on was comforting.

"Thank you," Cyra said, her voice barely above a whisper.

The detective smiled warmly. "Of course. We'll make sure to take care of you."

Then the three of them headed to the detective's house

When the car was driving through, suddenly the car broke down, Lyra and Cyra saw on the side of the road there was a group of people wearing black clothes.

"Oh God?! What should we do?" Cyra whispered to Lyra

"Shh..stay quite and look down," said the detective

Suddenly they heard the footsteps of two people approaching their car, three of them covered their mouths and held their breath, hoping that the people outside wouldn't notice them.

The footsteps grew closer, and Lyra and Cyra could feel their hearts pounding in their chests.

As the footsteps grew closer, Lyra and Cyra could feel their fear mounting. They huddled together in the back seat of the car, trying to make themselves as small as possible.

The detective sat in the driver's seat, his eyes fixed on the rearview mirror. He could see the two figures approaching the car, their faces obscured by the darkness.

The detective's heart sank as the car struggled to start. He could feel the panic rising in his chest as he tried the ignition again and again.

Outside, the two figures were getting closer. He could hear their footsteps crunching on the gravel, growing louder with each passing moment.

"Come on..come on," he muttered under his breath, his hands shaking as he tried the ignition once more.

But the car still wouldn't start.

Lyra and Cyra were huddled together in the back seat, their eyes wide with fear. They knew that they were in a dangerous situation, and they were relying on the detective to keep them safe.

The figures were almost at the car now. The detective could see their shadows looming in the darkness, their faces still obscured by their masks.

"Stay quiet," he whispered to Lyra and Cyra. "Don't move."

He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as the figures approached the car. He was ready to defend himself and the two girls if necessary, but he knew that he was outnumbered and outmatched.

Suddenly, the figures stopped outside the car, and the detective held his breath. He could hear them speaking in low voices, but he couldn't make out what they were saying.

And then, just as suddenly as they had appeared, the figures moved on, disappearing into the darkness.

The detective breathed a sigh of relief, then tried the ignition again. This time, the car roared to life, and he quickly put it into gear.

"Let's get out of here," he said, his voice shaking with adrenaline. "We need to get you both home."

Lyra and Cyra nodded, still feeling shaken but grateful to be safe. They knew that they had narrowly avoided a dangerous situation, and they were grateful to have the detective there to protect them.
