what happens now | Draco malfoy

4th year

i stood at platform 9 3/4 with my stuff looking at the train. i look around with a smile on my face. Admiring the train never gets old, it really is a beauty.

"jade" someone yells which makes me turn my head.

i look to see harry, herminoe and ron all walking towards me with a smile. i walk over and give them all a hug.

"how was your summer, we didn't hear much from you" herminoe said smiling

"oh my apologies i was busy with my father we travelled a little bit so i didn't have much time to owl you all" i say with a smile back

"no worries, will you be sitting with us" harry said

"i wish i could but i think my friends will have a heart attack if they knew i wasn't sitting with them" i laugh

"okay well we'll see you at dinner" ron said turning to leave

"bye guys" i smile walking into the train making my way to the slytherin tables. i look around and find the compartment my friends were sat in. i open the cart door and make my way in sitting down.

"JADE" theo yelled pulling me into a hug.

"hello theo" i laighed hugging him back. he smacks my arm which made me let out a little whimper "ow. what was the need" i say rubbing my arm

"how dare you not owl me" he said with a scowl on his face which made me laugh "oh theodore you do make me laugh" i say tapping his shoulder turning to face pansy who was sat next to theo

"pansy my darling" i say with a smirk and she laughs

"jade my love" she said winking which made me laugh. i lean across theo and give pansy a hug. i pull back still smiling

"how was your summer" she said

"not awful, father took me to italy" i smiled
"i've always wanted to go to italy" she said scoffing "how dare you not take me with you"she looked away which made me roll my eyes with a laugh "you know i would've if i could've pans" i say turning to the blonde boy sat infront of me and zabini.

"boys" i say with a smirk

"oh so now i'm visible" blaise said scoffing

"you know i love you blaise but i do have to greet my dearest friends first" i smile sarcastically

"we've all been friends the same amount of time what difference does it make" he said in a high pitched voice

"don't be jealous zabini" i winked

i turn my gaze to the boy next to him and keep a steady look

"malfoy" i say bluntly expecting him to scoff or make a comment.

"barlowe" he said with a nod which took me by surprise. i don't think anyone missed the shocked look on my face.

"no comment this year, have you finally grew up" i say smirking

"piss off barlowe" he scoffs

"there he is" i mumble but he smirked.

i would never admit it to him but i did quite like our little insults and arguments. it gave me a sort of entertainment. Even if we argue i still got to speak to in a somewhat matter my friend. and there was no denying how he had changed over the summer. he had gotten even taller and his jawline got sharper. he has grown to be quite good looking in my opinion.

we continued to speak until we arrived at hogwarts. we all got in a cart and made our way up to the castle.

walking in felt like home. i couldn't explain why but everything about it was just home. i think most people felt that way.
