chapter storyline from station 19 season 4 episode 5
The backup signal beeped as the truck slowly made its way into the station. Once in park, the doors opened and multiple firefighters jumped out.
"Two seventeen!" A voice yelled and they all yelled back, "Two seventeen!"
Station 217.
One of Los Angeles's top stations. Also one of their biggest stations. The 217 was known for their fast response times, their quick thinking, and their team work. The station of firefighters considered themselves lucky. Most stations don't have it as good as they do.
The 217 were a family. A crazy, dramatic, fun filled family. When they came to the station, it didn't feel like work. It felt like home.
"Now," Logan Hastings, a man with dark hair, brown eyes, and freckles that covered his face, turned to his team, "I know firefightings not a competition, but we had the wet stuff on the red stuff five minutes before 118 even hooked up to a hydrant."
A laugh came out of a shorter woman. Her dark hair was slicked back into a ponytail and she pulled off her jacket as she asked, "118? Were they even there? I don't remember seeing them." Ayla Calaways words made the team smile.
Cleo Jackson, Aylas slightly taller best friend, snickered, "Sure you do. They were the ones with the clean turnouts."
"Yeah, they never even made it off their engine." Leo Reaves, one of the stations youngest firefighters (and cockiest), said with a smirk on his face.
Alex Colton shook his head at his team's words, "It's not a competition." He told them. The team all gave him a look. Alex couldn't help but let a smile form on his face.
"Come on Cap. It always is." Theodore Bowman, more commonly known as Theo, said as he brushed past the man. "And, we always win." Luella Martin, a blonde woman with sparkling green eyes, added as she high-fived Theo.
Station 118.
Also one of Los Angeles's top stations. Also Station 217s biggest rival, or enemy as some of them might say. They weren't sure when the rivalry started. It had been going on long before Captain Alex Colton and Captain Bobby Nash had joined the stations. It's just always been there. It had been engraved in both stations that if you join one, you automatically hate the other.
Hate might be too strong of a word. More like dislike.
Either way, the stations have been competing for years. Competing in response times, number of rescues, you name it.
