House Cup Winner
[Anna with her arm still bandaged enters a corridor where up on a stairwell balcony, Rose is leaning over the railing and than looks over at Anna.]
Anna: All right there, Rose?
Rose: All right. You?
Anna: [as she shrugs] All right.
People smile at them.
[We see the Great Hall full of students eating and talking with each other. There are green and silver banners with the Slytherin symbol above their heads, already indicating the house with the most points. Dumbledore gives a slight nod to Professor McGonagall, who then clinks her spoon to her glass to ask attention from the students. The crowd falls silent. Dumbledore stands up and speaks with his magically magnified voice.]
Dumbledore: Another year gone. And now, as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding. And the points stand thus: In fourth place, Gryffindor with 337 points. [There is a medium applause from the crowd] Third place, Hufflepuff with 352 points. [The applause for Hufflepuff is slightly louder than the clapping for Gryffindor] In second place, Ravenclaw with 426 points. [Applause again, this time with a slight cheer from some students] And in first place, with 472 points, Slytherin house. [A loud roar rises from the Slytherin table, as students stand up and clap for themselves. Rose scowls with her hand to her cheek; Snape applauds the students of his house.]
Cassie: Nice one. [Sneers at Anna. Blair turns Cassie around.]
Dumbledore: Yes, yes, well done, Slytherin. Well done, Slytherin. However, recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last-minute points to award. [Some faces at the Gryffindor table rise hopefully.] To Miss Rose Weasley, for the cool use of intellect while other was in grave peril and for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 75 points.
Griffindors cheer.
[Rose looks surprised, while the other Gryffindor students applaud her. Fred and George being loudest.]
Percy: (yells) That's my sister!
Anna: [giving Rose a pat on the back] Good job. [Malfoy, Zabini and Nott don't like what's happening. Rose looks at Hagrid, who looks back to her with a proud smile.]
Dumbledore: And Second, to Ms. Anna Potter, for pure nerve and outstanding courage, I award Gryffindor house 60 points.
Griffindors cheer again. James is yelling how brilliant his daughter is.
[The Gryffindors cheer again, this time even louder than before. Malfoy has a cringing look on her face, while Anna sees a proud, smiling Professor McGonagall at the teacher's table. Rose, who has done some quick math, whispers to her fellow students.]
Rose: We're tied with Slytherin! [Now, the Gryffindors look really hopeful, as Dumbledore hasn't finished talking yet.]
Dumbledore: And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends. I award 10 points to Neville Longbottom.
Griffindors cheer.
[Neville can't believe what he just heard and the Gryffindors that heard Rose's whisper are cheering the loudest. Malfoy, Zabini and Nott looks quite uncertain now.]
Dumbledore: Assuming that my calculations are correct, I believe that a change of decoration is in order. [He claps and motions his hands towards the Slytherin banners, where they flap heavily, until the banners have changed completely to red and gold with the Gryffindor symbol.]
Gryffindors cheer, Slytherins scrowl.
Dumbledore: Gryffindor wins the House Cup. [The Great Hall explodes with applause, not only from the Gryffindors, but also from the Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuffs because they are glad that for the first time in seven years, someone other than Slytherin has won the House Cup. Hagrid can't help himself to also cheer, and all students except the Slytherins throw their hats in the air, while Malfoy angrily throws his on the table in defeat. The Gryffindors around Anna are all congratulating her, and Anna smiles to Hagrid, who smiles back.]
Blair: What the actual fuck?
Theo: Blair, Calm down.
Blair: Why should i calm down?! [Stands on Table] If he was gonna reward them, he should have done it before he said we won. He can't give us cup and than take it away like it's nothing. It's cruel! We worked for it! We earned it! Stopping dark wizards isn't in our school programm! They shouldn't be rewarded for going after dark wizard. They are just kids, like us, they know what? Five spells? They suvived only, because of luck! They should be punished for this, not rewarded! [ "Yeah" cheered Slytherins.]
Slytherins clap loudly, even Narcissa, Lucius and Regulus.
Whole Slytherin: WE WANT JUSTICE! WE WANT JUSTICE! WE WANT JUSTICE! [Protested every Slytherin. Snape lookes proud.]
Barty joins them. Other Slytherins clap for them proudly.
Dumbledore: SILENCE! I understand your protest, but they also were rewarded for defending achool. So cup will be shared between Slyherin and Griffindor.
"This is best we could get." Said Evan.
[Slytherin's know that is the best they're gonna get and cheered. Theo looked at Blair with awe.]
Cassie: I love you.
Theo: You're brilliant!
Blair: (with smirk) I know.
[Rose galres at Slytherins.]
Anna: Stop glaring. They have a point. It was unfair.
Rose: Why are you always defending them?!
Anna: Because someone has to do it and seems like no one does! Griffindors, Rawenclaws, Hufflepuffs, they are all teamed up against Slytherins. They weren't celebrating Griffindors' winning, they were celebrating Slytherins' losing. Slytherins are outcasts and trust me, if anyone knows how it feels to be an outcast it's me! [Anna ate agressivly. Rose looks surprised at Anna's outburst.]
Slytherins look at girl with more respect. Lily looks proud.
Not Really Going Home
[At Hogsmeade station, students are walking around, getting in the train.]
Hagrid: Come on, now. Hurry up, you'll be late. Train's leaving. Go on. Go on. Come on, hurry up. [Anna hands Hedwig to a train man and walks to an open door of the train. Anna sees Hagrid and walks over.]
Hagrid: Thought you were leaving without saying goodbye, didja? [Hagrid takes a red album out of his coat pocket and hands it to Anna.] This is fer you. [Anna opens the album and sees a picture, moving, of her as a baby with her parents. They are all smiling and waving. Anna smiles.]
"Thank you, Hagrid." Said Lily.
Anna: Thanks, Hagrid. [Shakes Hagrid's hand, then hugs him tightly.]
Hagrid: Oh. Go on. On with you. On with you now. [Anna lets go] Oh, listen, Anna. If that dolt of a cousin of yours, Dudley, gives you any grief, you could always, um, threaten him with a nice pair of ears to go with that tail of his.
Anna: But Hagrid, we're not allowed to do magic away from Hogwarts. You know that.
Hagrid: I do. But your cousin don't, do he? Eh? [chuckle]
"I love Hagrid." Chuckled Sirius.
Anna: (with a laugh) You're being bad influence, Hagrid!
Hagrid: Off you go. [Anna walks away, back to the train door where Rose is waiting.]
Rose: Feels strange to be going home, doesn't it?
Anna: I'm not going home. Not really.
"I know the feeling." Said Sirius.
[The train whistles and they climb aboard. As the train starts to leave and the camera pans up over the whole scene, Anna waves out the window to Hagrid, who waves back and then waves more to other students. Fade to Black.]
